Please don't put cooking oil on your roof! The result would be terrible. Thanks for writing! The cleaning we are referring to is a simple removal of debris as illustrated. The Roof Maxx product is applied after any needed SIMPLE repairs. If the repairs needed were more extensive, we would never have sold the client Roof Maxx and would simply refer them to a roofer. Many of our dealers have between 20 and over 40 years of experience in the roofing industry and have happily found Roof Maxx as a product they want to provide to their customers. Some of our dealers also do roof cleaning but that is not what this video is about. Roof Maxx is not for everyone, but we help thousands of homeowners save a LOT of money vs a roof replacement by rejuvenating the shingles and by making simple repairs. Hope this helps!

We do not reccomend any sealant or coating on your roof as it will inhibit the roof's ability to respond to temperature and moisture. Roof Maxx is a penetrant that replaces lost oils in the asphalt. VERY DIFFERENT. Please do not apply a sealant to your asphalt shingle roof!

It may. Oftentimes a "side effect" of a Roof Maxx treatment is that it does clean the roof of the streaking - but this does not happen in all cases. Many of our dealers do offer a roof washing service in addition to the Roof Maxx treatment, but not all dealers offer this service.

PLEASE do not seal your roof. You will destroy it. Roof Maxx is a formulated bio-based PENETRANT so it replaces the lost oil. Absolutely not the same thing.

Couple things, first off, its a seal tab that's broken loose because the roof is too dry. Not always but often, dried seal tabs are rehydrated and can stick again. If not, our dealers are trained to address this. Regardless of of the seal tab sticks or not, Roof Maxx is the difference between a brittle shingle blowing up a little in wind and a flexible, heavier shingle blowing up a bit. You aren't going to have that breaking. It's all very scientific, thoroughly tested and our customers love it 5 and 10 years into their treatments! You should try it!

Deceitful is a bit of a strong word since we did our best at the time to replicate the test, but I agree a bit of a more apples to apples is nice. That's why we've done a lot more of these tests in the six years since this video was made. You can see them on our channel! We also have lots of testimonials from extremely respected home inspectors since this time! As well as a number of return customers. I hope you get a chance to watch some of these to see that Roof Maxx works!

Sorry that we are currently available only in the US! Are there a lot of asphalt shingle roofs in Nigeria? I've only ever been to Lagos and didn't see any!

We don't claim that Roof Maxx will save your roof from hail, or a tornado or a hurricane... but when do you buy a new roof to keep it fresh, granulated, flexible and resilient from hail? Every 10 years for a builders grade? Who wants to do that? It is a fact that a dry and brittle roof will crack and break when hit with hail. Why not rejuvenate? If your roof is beyond treatment, we will definitely tell you. We don't offer a spray-on-roof but we do offer an oil-based penetrant that replaces lost petrochemical oils in dry brittle roofs. There is no sand in our product either.

You should talk to your local dealer. Insurance laws vary from state to state but most states protect the homeowner by requiring that insurance determination is based on condition of roof vs age. Your local Roof Maxx dealer will be aware of those laws and know how to get you a home inspection post-treatment along with our 5 year warranty. If you've ever torn off an old dry roof, you will quickly notice that there is still moisture and oil in the fastners area and it is actually retaining moisture and flexibility. Blowoff breaking occurs right at the place where the top shingles overlap. Our spray definitely soaks into those areas.
