      They want to be unburdened by what has been! Little do they know that that means that they will no longer be able to pick and choose what job or career they want. It means that they are not gonna get to sit around and play video games all day like they wish will happen. It means that they are going to be sent to the car manufacturing plants and the oil wells and the gold mines.

    Capitalism is great until 5 companies own literally everything. Then it's broke asf might as well be communist. The people dont have the power right now is the problem. So every rich pos dodges taxes. You wouldn't even need to tax the common man if human garbage like Jeff Bezos didnt pay 0 in taxes. Tax them wtf ohhhhhh noooooo 300k out of my 567 million fck off

    Planned obsolescence, profiteering, tendency toward monopoly, pollution, and the 2007-8 financial crisis. Truth is, capitalism needs socialism in order to prevent capitalism from devouring itself. Checks and balances are ugly and inefficient, but absolutely necessary.

    • @ManicTulip76
      @ManicTulip76 6 місяців тому

      Socialism isn’t a check or a balance to capitalism. Maybe read the book I referenced, and you’d sound a tad more intelligent

      @ManicTulip76 I have Friedman in my library. Lol! You’re right. It is not socialism in the strict sense of its meaning. However, libertarians, like Friedman, believe that the market is rational and self-correcting. Any government intervention to protect consumers is overreach. Broadly speaking, any government intervention is tantamount to a socialist market.

  • @macflod
    @macflod 6 місяців тому

    Yeah but why does everyone take it to the extremes- socialism is model in capitalism. There are loads of examples even in the states- education, military, police force, airports, all work under socialist model. Its not got to be an all or nothing, best solutions are in the middle with nuances. We don’t have to be purists and ideologists and adopt one over everything else

  • @dashandtuch7183
    @dashandtuch7183 6 місяців тому

    Socialism and capitalism do indeed fit together quite well. But there is more power to be gained by choosing the extremes.

    Wow capitalism is so great. I really do wonder why so many revolutions happened back then. Things must have been so bad that people had to fight their way out of it. Now it seems like it got a bit better but still people are struggling and there are thousands of problems with it. Wait a minute.... Is capitalism really great? 🤔

  • @lisalisa1656

    Socialism doesn't work because people r inherently selfish 😒 which is a survival mechanism designed by God. You can untrain yourself to be giving. But in the end most people are not giving so socialism can never work and it's not even a debatable point.

    • @Hunterchuck
      @Hunterchuck 6 місяців тому

      Ah! So that's why we all agreed to doing capitalism. If there are lots of selfish people, then we make sure society is set up just for them! Yay!~

    • @lisalisa1656
      @lisalisa1656 6 місяців тому

      @@Hunterchuck yep, that is the flaw in capitalism we r now becoming the hunger games. That's why we need something inbetween that can work better for everyone and is more fair. Obviously, number 1 step leave money out of politics. 2nd, have some socialistic principles allowing poorer folks to get ahead. Best is a mix. Like if the government was all democrat we'd be run into the ground. If the government was all republican we'd be run into the ground. Need like something inbetween.

    • @Hunterchuck
      @Hunterchuck 6 місяців тому

      @@lisalisa1656 How exactly do you make things fair for the working class? What's the in-between suppose to look like? It doesn't seem like it's possible to keep money out of politics when government is quite literally an institution made by and for the rich. Corruption doesn't go away with hopes and dreams.

    Also why do we pay so much for the military, when was the last time the United States was invaded? If you want a military pay for it yourself if you don't you shouldn't have to pay anything. We should also get rid of food subsidies and public schools because that is also socialism and truly disgusting.

  • @Epoch11
    @Epoch11 6 місяців тому

    We shouldn't have capitalism for anything, no fire department no police no military no roads no Bridges no nothing. If you want to go on a road trip somewhere you should have to pay constant tolls. Nothing is free. If you want a ride in an ambulance you should first have to give them your credit card number. If your baby is choking and dying you should first have to present proof of insurance. Otherwise all the Moochers in this Society will think that they can get away with taking from those who actually contribute. Now that would be a beautiful country to live in but the libs ruin it.

  • @Epoch11
    @Epoch11 6 місяців тому

    Socialism doesn't work only lying and cheating works and everyone knows that. You lie and cheat until you have enough money to then lie and cheat to get more money. This is what western capitalism is literally built on. A few wealthy people taking advantage of a government where they put people into place to make the laws such that you can never succeed unless you have Capital to begin with. And we know socialism does not work because of the hellscape that is the Nordic countries. These places where people have health care and vacations mandated by law and sick leave and leave for when they have a child or when someone dies. In this country you're expected to work yourself to death. We have been placated by social media because if this did not exist we might do the same thing that the French did.

    • @ManicTulip76
      @ManicTulip76 6 місяців тому

      Not quite. Western capitalism was built on creating jobs, providing value, like offering services or products. And we aren’t expected to work ourselves to death, we aren’t China or Africa, or South America, or in the 1600s.
