The Old Gods A group of cultists fails to please the Eldritch One, who takes them to an old kingdom consumed by lost spirits, torn apart by the echoes of time, in a separate plane of existence. As they wander into the fallen realm, searching for a way out, a decrepit castle lies on the horizon. They approach, quickly noticing it is haunted by tormented souls who attempt to drain them of their very life essence. Fighting their way in, they find a broken, crowned skeleton man on the throne. Peacefully, he rests. As one of the adventurers asks, "What happened to this place? How do we escape?" "The one who brought you here is the only being who escaped our world. You, however, mortal as you are, cannot hope to leave." Desperation fills the air as one of the adventurers pleads, "Please! Let us out! We have to return to our world; we are not from here!" But the skeleton king's answer is resolute. "Others have spoken of the new universe the Architect has made, forsaking us." He slowly stands, facing the adventurers. "As the Old Gods languish in forgotten agony, so too shall you, mortal, vanish into the abyss of eternity."

Very nicely done, the emotion is palpable, and something you clearly understand. I will certainly be looking forwards to future works!

Its very neat, getting sort of kings field vibes from it Though I feel like the balacing is off. With title and general vibe going into something calm and soft, some of the louder sounds seem to clash with that idea.
