Taking time to explore this park I didn't even know about, even after living in Colorado for over 30 years! At one point I was genuinely scared about the mountain lions and bears so I yelled to make sure they heard me and left me alone. I hope you enjoy this little excursion! Please Like and Subscribe! Lovely❤
Thank you so much. Lovely video.
Lovely video!
Thank you🌱
How long should one roast the leaves each time? Very nice video thank you
“I miss my mom” hit me hard
What a beautiful, sweet video. Thank you for sharing this process, your deep friendship, and memories of your family and Korea. I started harvesting mugwort this year and drying it to make tea and face wash. I will try roasting it multiple times and see how that goes! This must be how you get those beautiful, round tea cakes. Korean culture and language are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I'm grateful to be part of this wonderful community keeping herbal medicine alive. ❤ Love from Egypt.
I've got it growing in the garden, I'm going to try it.
Thank you for sharing ❤️
Love it
Love this window into your culture. I'm interested in natural food ways, gardening and preparing healthy foods. More please!
Thank you for the hike! My daughter cleared trails in California - for the safety of hikers. Scenery was wonderful.
Enjoyed this! More videos please
Hello, can you address chestnuts? I heard the soup is wonderful- how to find them and cook them. The elders in my family looked for black walnuts down in the south United States. They look entirely different from commercial walnuts and had a stronger taste.
Isn't mugwort bitter or is that just me
It's bitter! But I'm wondering if their preparation lessens that bitterness. I'm thinking of trying this method, rather than hanging to dry.
I have never made tea this way. I usually clean the leaves, then steam them to reduce the bitterness, and dry them in my oven. I just tried this method today. I have a lot of questions about how long you dehydrate and roast each time.
Younger plants are less bitter
ive cleaned them, and fried them crisp.hmm..Luk'wil Aam.. picked them in Northern BC in my "Nisgaa" back yard, thx for sharing.
I have e alot of dry mugwort tea in bulk, it is very healing
Aww thank you so much
Can ypu tell me the type of pan you were drying & roasting on.
Wow, I never realized how much work is involved in the process. Beautiful, thank you for sharing! What area of the united states is this located? I have 3 different mugwort varieties growing at my house in Texas, they look different. I would like to try making tea.
Thank you so much for this beautiful video!!! I have dried mugwort at home and look forward to making some tea with it, although not in the traditional Korean way.
Great instructions and video, Thank you both so much. I have a large pot in the backward with Mugwarts. I will try both the Tea and possibly a soup recipe. Blessings to you.
What is the purpose of the roasting and processing? I just pick some stems and leave them to dry somewhere, picking off leaves to make tea as needed
A comforting tea. I love how you sipped the tea and it brought your mother to mind and heart. That’s the power of what god gave us for free. Thank you for such a sweet video.
great video 😊
Thank you - such a beautiful video. I’ve learned a lot ❤️
That was so lovely!! Thank you so much for making this video. 😊❤
Thank you for the translation in English! I'm growing this in my garden so this is a big help!
Thanks for sharing. Hard work but worth it.
Thank you for sharing this !
People in the United States tend to not differentiate between Mugwort and Wormwood, which are different species of Artemisia. Wormwood, used in the making of absinthe, is considered somewhat risky to consume and is mistakenly associated with hallucinations. It doesn't cause hallucinations, but it does contain a compound that can cause convulsions with too high of a dose. Mugwort is considered harmless, and is drunk by many here before bed, because it can lead to clear and pleasant dreaming. Because some people get the two species confused and may use the names interchangeably, it has led to a lot of confusion about the safety of Artemisia Vulgaris L., common mugwort.
I am growing mugwort and I would love to try this method when it's ready. I have dried mugwort arriving today, but I know it won't be nearly as tasty!
I love how calm, relaxed they are and how patient they are to stand there for hours preparing it.
Thanks 🙏🙏 🙏👍
Such a beautiful video! I just gathered my first mugwort today. It is touching to know the time traditional Korean culture puts into this plant to prepare a tea to be shared with family. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Thank you for a video that is full of useful, clear information & instruction. You have blessed me. Be blessed.
Nice job! Thank you for the show.
is the heating temperature in degree of fahrenheit?
Thanks for such an awesome video! All I found were coral mushrooms today. How do you ID your coral to make sure they're not the one that gives gastrointestinal upset?
I have been researching this all evening and I cannot find a straight answer! I have read that the red/orange ones are definitely poisonous, I think there are purple too..but as far as edibility you want to look for beige and perhaps? Perhaps white.
@@heyheywoahwoahhey I always come about coral but am always afraid of gastrointestinal pain to try hahah. They smell yummy though. One day we'll figure it out!
I loved watching and learning something new, thankyou xx
You have such a pleasant voice.. l felt like it was mugwort tea..
Try American cheese from the deli section of the supermarket. The cheese they cut right in front of you not wrapped in plastic has better flavor and is normally made with natural ingredients. The one in plastic is not so good. But everyone is different. I grew up with real cheese and cannot eat that wrapped in plastic one. Thanks for the video, I will have to try it with the egg & cheese. I usually use more water, since too salty. Your English is fine. As an American born, only speak english , I find I sometimes have trouble with words.
Where do I get that big basket? I see them on youtube for tea and I can't find them for sale online. I need to buy one or two--but big like the one your friend has. thank you!
we have them everywhere in our country. It's specially made from bamboo strips but I dont know about yours. it's called nangloo and a bit different from the one used in this video
Kamsamida. Thank you for sharing. I have mugwort plat for more than 2 years I don't know what to do with it. I leave it till it flowered and hundreds of bees flocking on it. But now accidentally I watched your video. Now I know what to do. My question is what will you do if you have no electricity and you roast it in a woodfire stove to control the temperature?
Love this! Thanks for sharing, i learned new info!!
Such an nice little video Thank you for Shareing 💕💕💕
I have a huge haul of coral and I want to dehydrate to use later. I have no luck freezing them. They freezer burn really fast on me. Even with water added to ziplock bag. Should I soak them overnight after cleaning them and then dehydrate?
did you boil, clean, soak overnight, and dehydrate? I am thinking about doing this but wanted to see if anyone else had any luck! thank you<3
this is was a beautiful video. thank you for sharing. it’s always amazing and interesting to learn how different cultures view the same herb. absolutely lovely! thank you 💕
Thank you, for uploading this wonderful video.
I want to try it but I don't know how to find the heating thing she is using. My electric skillet doesn't go that low of a temperature. #1) what is the tool used to heat/roasting? #2) Can you give a general location of where you live so I know when to pick it in your area? This way I can use that info to learn when to pick it in my area. Thank You Very Much! From southeastern USA
