White people were typically clueless in mastering these types of cuisines. However, according to a book entitled Colonel Sanders and the American Dream by Joshua Ozersky, Colonel Sanders "tried to create an alternative reality in which the white planter not only ate the chicken, but implicity made it." But again, this narrative is very inconsistent with the era when KFC was created. In his book, Ozersky further reveals that Colonel Sanders tried to attribute the use of the pressure cooker to the success of KFC. When Colonel Sanders patented his pressure cooker process in 1966, he reportedly said that the method he had come up with allowed cooks in his restaurants to create "accurately controlled conditions of temperature, pressure, time, sizes of serving pieces, and the amount and composition of breading used" to create chicken that had a superior taste with great texture. But obviously attributing the success of KFC to a pressure cooker instead of to the Black woman who actually created the recipe is both an insult to her... and to the company itself.

I think it is just the changing times like malls and skating rinks are no longer a thing. They couldn’t afford to keep the restaurants open because the majority of people ordered them to go. In my town their area of delivery was so small. Lot of different reasons why they are hurting. Quality has gone down over the years.

Sad thing is, today's KFC is even inferior to the original version that Sanders hated. I'd rather eat at McDonald's.

Kfc in Australia and South Africa are still going strong.

In the UK the taste of Pizza Hut Pizzas differed between their restaurants and parlours, the Pizza Hut pizzas from their parlours tasted much better. My local one closed 10 years ago.

I live in South Africa, if there's one place on earth that doesn't hate KFC it's here.

The managers that buy the franchises have just about ruined the brand. Last three times I’ve been for kfc the meal was horrid, not like it was say twenty years back. Won’t bother anymore, most of the small independents are better now, and cheaper !

KFC is terrible. Every restaurant I have been to in the last 5 years. The staff argue with the customers. The staff refuses to cook dark meat. When they don't close for 5 more hours. I just never been back. It's always a nightmare going. If you go don't go inside

Sounds like it was entirely the founders fault. If you sell out to investors, of course the quality is going to decline. The investors also made a massive mistake with the contract. If they did it right, there would be no ground for them to be sued.
