I used to go more often but the prices and size of the chicken seemed to have shrunk a little. The meal I originally got for under 10 bucks just a few years ago is now 15 bucks! Not worth paying that much just to get smaller portions.

Kentucky Fried Chicken was unbelievably delicious in the 70s and 80s. No drive thru, it wasn't "fast food," and the dining room looked like a dining room, not an uncomfortable cafeteria. When they went to "KFC," it also went to spit. I worked at one about 15 years ago, and that's when I found out the biscuits are frozen, not made fresh daily. It was disgusting in the kitchen, the chicken cooler smelled like rotten roadkill, and management wouldn't let me change the grease in any of the fryers when they definitely needed it. They'd use the grease to the point it looked like used motor oil and made anything fried in it dark, like it was burnt. I told my fiancee and my friends and people in general that I met in passing to not eat there. I immediately regretted leaving my previous job to work there, but a friend told me I'd get 0.75 more an hour... that turned out to be a lie, and I had to work way freaking harder there than my previous job, which was fun, plus I could eat for free. KFC said if I even took a biscuit out of the trashcan, I would be fired for stealing, and we threw away tons of food nightly. I have literally begged God to let lightning strike every KFC and burn it them to the ground. It's unhealthy food now, tastes like old spit, and it's extremely overpriced for what you get. You couldn't pay me to eat at a KFC, let alone work at one. Oh, and the one I worked at was a franchise, owned by NPC International... NPC, I just lol'd. But yeah KFC can kiss my ass.

My brother worked for a KFC decades ago. I remember him telling me that they started to run out of chicken so they told him to fry up some moldy chicken. He quit on the spot. Also, I had a friend bring some leftover KFC to school and she discovered a breaded and fried spider on her chicken. Same place. 🤮

As a little girl, I was like 5 at the time, we went to a grand opening of KFC in a neighiboring town. We met Colonel Sanders and ate lunch. The chicken back then tasted so good! The chicken that they serve today is extremely different! Unfortunately for KFC, there are still thousands more, other than me, that can attest that there is a huge difference. So sad that the quality has declined over time.
