INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD 2024 I JUNE 16TH
Today, June 16th marks the Day of the African Child. It’s a day set aside to honour the young lives lost in a peaceful protest for freedom and quality education in Soweto 1976.
The theme for this year is: ‘Education for all children in Africa.
Quality education is the right of every child, regardless of location, race, parental status, disability, or gender.
The Child Rights Act highlights 'Access to Quality, Free and Compulsory Basic Education.' But is it truly free and compulsory in its complete sense?
Let’s not focus only on the problem, as different sides make our complete story. Africa is blessed with talented youngsters. Despite the hurdles, there are teachers, NGOs, parents and other kind-hearted individuals who go out of their way to provide the best learning experiences.
But there is still more work to be done; it’s not enough to have the Child's Rights written in black and white. Implementation is the way forward.
This is a plea and call to action to all stakeholders to get the job done. The time is now.

Hello Good day I read through the requirements needed for Legalisation and I saw that the official transcript is needed for Authentication then legalisation. However, my university protocol says that they don't give out the official transcripts to students by hand but they send it to the foreign school that is in need of it and that I only have access to student copy. How do I go about this? Also, my school certificate is not ready yet but I have my statement of result. Can this suffice too?
Hello, Congratulations on your scholarship 🎉 First of all, are you in the ESWOCHY program? If yes? Please send a mail to the international student support. They are in the best position to guide you. student.support@mruni.eu Regarding the legalisation of authorisation, I used my official transcript and B.Sc. Certificate. I am unsure if you can use the student transcript, but you can always inform the International regarding this issue and get clarification.

Hello Bukola, did it take a long time before you received your award letter? I received a positive email from my program last month and i am still expecting the award letter as promised.
Congratulations! Blessings and so happy for you! I got my scholarship notification in May 2022 and received the contract document about 1 month later. However, the case might be different this time around.
@bukola Very useful information. But when do I expect feedback whether my interview was successful or not. During my interview on the 9th of April I was asked if I would like to be a self funded student, my feedback was as much as I would want to, I can't afford it but would like to be considered for the scholarship. Does this affect my scholarship opportunity?
Hi Tony, thanks for sharing your experience. It's understandable to feel anxious about the outcome of the interview, especially considering the increase in the number of applicants. It's worth noting that the interview is just one aspect of the application process, alongside factors like your bachelor's degree and professional experience. The interviewers typically have a set list of questions for all candidates, so it's difficult to draw conclusions based solely on specific questions asked. While timelines may vary, it's important to remain patient during this period. I hope you receive positive news soon. All the best!
Well done, Bukonla. I love your efforts on things. To more🥂
Awwww thank you so much my Dr. Adebankemoooo, baby girl is following your footsteps 🤲🏽

Thanks for this.... Please can i get clarity on this? When you're still trying to answer a question be asked in the interview, and they now asked " Can you live in Europe for the duration of your program"? What does this say about your interview? I know this isnt related to the content shared.
The Erasmus Mundus program is hosted at various universities in Europe, so for fully-funded students, it is expected to be physically present to attend lectures. Based on this information, your expected answer may be, "I intend to make myself available in Europe during the course of the program."
@@momentswithbukola Thank you
@bukola, great job. I have interview on the 9th and part of the email is that they may ask mathematics related questions. Any advice on this?
Congratulations on your invitation. What program did you apply for?
@@momentswithbukola ESWOCHY
Oh, when I did my interview in 2022, there were no mathematics-related questions, so I have no idea about this. However, it's possible there might be questions related to statistical data analysis to test the candidate's knowledge in scientific research, although this is just a possibility and not certain.
Hey I did my interview today on the 9th too!!! How was yours?? :)
Hello, I will have the interview on the 15th April. May I ask how was your experience?
@momentswithbukola @momentswithbukola Hello, thank you so much for your guidance, i have just concluded my interview some 10 minutes ago, i was only asked 2 questions imagine and the whole interview took 6 minutes

in case you lose your motivation or statement of purpose before the interview due to the loss of your laptop, where else can i find it

Hi dear That was very detailed So when you passed your interview When will you apply for the visa ?or they would prepare your visa details And another one too is how did you prepare for accommodation and plane tickets and all that . Lastly we want your general review about the stipends. Was it regular Please we a detailed video ❤
After the interview, the final selection will be made for those who will receive the fully funded scholarship and those who have been selected for the self-funded option. Emails will be sent regarding this matter. Subsequently, the international student body in charge of visa applications will reach out to all students about the next steps to take, as well as provide them with all the documents needed for the visa application. However, while you wait for this, you can read about the visa requirements of the country (host university) on their official website to have an idea of what the procedure entails.
Regarding your request for a detailed video on information about accommodation, flight tickets, and others, I will do my best to work on that.👌🏽
Good Question and i will equally be looking forward to the new video on life style in Europe and how the offer is like

Hello, did you already do your interview?:) do you mind if I asked you some questions please?🙏🏼
my interview is scheduled for 3PM slovakian time and i'm in Uganda, at what time do you think i can be set for the interview
Oh, this is great news! Congratulations on your invitation. Based on my understanding, Slovakia is typically in the Central European Time (CET) zone, which is UTC+1 during standard time and UTC+2 during daylight saving time (which usually starts from the last Sunday in March). Given this information, when the interview is scheduled for 3 PM Slovakian time (CET or CEST), you would need to add two hours to get the time in Uganda. So, if the interview is scheduled for 3 PM Slovakian time during daylight saving time, it would be 3 PM CET + 2 hours = 5 PM EAT in Uganda. However, it is important to confirm this to be certain (the clock will most likely change on March 31st). Also, try to be prepared at least 30 minutes before your interview to avoid any technical issues. I wish you all the best.

Hello, I'm glad you found the video helpful. Regarding your question, I remember it took a while before I received the mail to send my transcript directly from my university. This was due to the high number of applications that had to be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. So just make sure you check your inbox and spam regularly. I wish you the best!
