I am a software engineer and an individual investor living in mid-west USA. I came to the USA in 1997. In this UA-cam Channel I am going to share my observations on investing in the US stocks and also a bit of my daily lives in the midwest.
Currently I did not do any editing on the videos. I used iPhone 12 and I directly upload the video to UA-cam without any editing on my side. I am bilingual (Mandarin Chinese and English). Majority of my audios are in Chinese so far (as of June 13, 2022). I do have some some English narrating and plan to do both languages in the future. And if possible (no promises), I will add captions in Chinese and English.

Old bamboo chair at my childhood home 6-27-2024
Narration in Chinese (Mandarin). This is my childhood home, I stayed there until in Fall 1982. We use that old bamboo chair a lot. We used to have more: probably 6 total. We sit on those chairs for dinner and for leisure. The reason I left my childhood home was for school: my parents think I can get better education in the school near where they work: the new school is about 2.5 miles from my childhood home so it's not too far, but we didn't come back to home every night due to transportation constraints. In the 1st few months of my 5th grade (probably Oct 1982): they moved me to the new school in #Baifeng. In a way we left our grandma behind we did come back in the weekends, I mean my parents and my brothers. My dad eventually moved to Beilun in year 2003, when he retired. Note this is my dad's childhood home too.

Yes it works. Sometimes it also depends on the app: I can either use the volume control on the car, or the volume control on the iPhone 🙂

我个人感觉没有什么问题。我是在一个礼拜六早上在附近走路，拍摄的。这个位置很靠近Olivette 的警察局。不是说这里绝对没问题，但总的感觉是安全的。以前我经常去旁边的星巴克去买咖啡。最近一两年我礼拜六早上，经常在附近走路。

It seems a lot of IT and software people are working from home, and thus fewer tenants in those commercial offices. On the other hand, Wash U medical school is building new offices nearby. So all in all it's a mixed bag.
