Installing a MiataRoadster Short Throw Shifter on my NA Miata!
After a busy holiday season, we're back to creating some of the hottest content on the internet! I was ecstatic when I had opened this up from my wife on Christmas because this was exactly what I wanted, and what the car needed. Please enjoy watching my throw away the completely thrashed OE shifter, and install all brand new parts. One of the most stratifying, and easy mods I've done in a very long time.
As always, thank you to everyone who likes, subscribes, and comments. Every interaction always makes me smile, and I really do appreciate all of the constructive criticism. Thank you for helping me stay motivated!

Finally Seeing my Widebody Turbo NA Miata Together!
Переглядів 265Місяць тому
I'm back! After a month long hiatus without any videos, I finally had time to edit, upload, and finish recording the reassembly of my NA Miata! A lot of things happened in the background that caused massive delays. I just want to thank everyone for following along, and for watching my latest videos. While this video isn't as informative as the rest, I fell like this is a great conclusion to the...

Follow me on my incredible (and incredibly stressful) journey on the final prep for FINALLY painting my NA Miata. Sorry for the long time in between uploads, but the process has taken a lot longer than anticipated. In this video, we cover a lot of the basics like: - Building a "Paint Booth" at home - Final paint prep process - Why you need good friends - How to fix certain mistakes All in all, ...
Prepping All the Primered Panels! (How to Block Sand Epoxy Primer)
Переглядів 3073 місяці тому
What a journey it has been to get to this point! I apologize for not posting any videos in a very long time, but with work, full weekends, and a lot of tedious tasks ahead, it didn't seem worth it to post a bunch of the same video. (ie a bunch of block sanding and prep videos. Some of these time lapses are sped up 16x, so you can imagine how long some of this took me! I know it isn't the most i...
Finishing Priming the Unibody on my NA Miata
Переглядів 714 місяці тому
Finally finishing priming the unibody on my NA! Huge steps toward getting this car painted. Although this isn't like my usual videos, I really needed to get a lot of work done this weekend, and ended up making a sort of montage. If you're interested in learning the process of what I'm doing, please feel free to look at some of the other videos on my channel! As always, thank you to everyone tha...
Making 285 wide tires and 15x11s fit the front on an NA Miata!
Переглядів 1465 місяців тому
Making 285s fit on an NA in the front was no easy task, but I was able to get it to work, with surprisingly little trouble. Yes, I did have to cut the fender for a flare, but a 30mm pull would be very difficult, and end up making the fender look like bacon. Not saying it can't be done, in fact, I'd love to see if anyone has done it! Since I don't like gatekeeping, I'm glad I was able to put thi...
Last Minute Motor Mount Swap on the ND!
Переглядів 785 місяців тому
Thanks again for tuning in! Here's the first video of me working on my ND Miata, replacing a motor mount, the night before an event, and past my bedtime. Broke the car Sunday, ordered the part Monday, was told Tuesday.... just to have Mazda lose my order and have to figure out how to get the parts in time. Was very frustrating, but ultimately, it got done, and I had a lot of fun. Tried somethin...

The GOAT returns 🙏🏻
looking clean!
Thank you! It's been a long road but so rewarding to finally see everything together!
Looks awesome!! Keep up the good work!!
I appreciate the kind words! Thank you so much!
Hell yeah man, great job! This is the first of your videos that I have seen. I appreciate your style, so I'll definitely check out more.
Thank you for the positive feedback! I've been working on figuring out editing, how to act in front of a camera, and what content people actually want to see. Actually way harder than it looks! The most important part to me is explaining what I'm doing, and why. Hopefully, someone learns something from my videos!
I promise you that the difficulty of being in front of a camera at all, let alone doing it really well, is not lost on me. I could never do it. I hope you keep having fun with it 👍
@@EG4HondaAlways, I wouldn't be doing it if I wasn't having a good time!
Wondering where you were able to buy an oem panel. I have looked high and low and ended up buying a used quarter panel off of a donor car. I drilled out all the spot welds to peel the skin back and use for my car. Keep up the hard work. Looking good!
Thanks brother, I appreciate that! Honestly, I just called up my local dealer and asked. I knew Mazda was starting to remake NA parts again, so I decided to give it a shot. Took a week to get in from California, but came in perfect shape!
@@MidnightOilMotorsports that’s great man! I’m glad they’re still able to get hard to find parts like this. Looking forward to your next video!
Underrated channel 👍🏼😁
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Big Miata guy here. This thing slaps
The legend returns, thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻
What were the tires sitting next to the silver Wheels with the Hoosiers?
Those are old 215/40R16 Falken RT660s for my ND!
Any spacers for the wheels?
No wheel spacers on this wheel and tire setup! Currently have full range of motion on the shock and steering. I have heard of some people needing 5mm spacers depending on what coilovers you're running. Just be warned, if you're attempting to fit this wheel and tire combo, there may be a slight variance between different year vehicles. Good luck!
Also what do we need to do to get ddcs on this page
I'm down for some drifting content. We can make that happen.
Can we get a build breakdown for that 3 fan setup to cool off the garage? Thing looks dope
Viper mine ❤
Good work more content
Two fans😮
Good content 💯
Thanks for watching!!
thank you for uploading this video brotha! i had just popped that top bolt on the drivers side mount so this video will do perfect on showing how to replace it...much love from another ND owner!
I appreciate the positive comment! Thank you for that! Glad I can help!
1st time ive seen body work done with Cleecos, Are you an AMT?
I am not, but I worked on the field as a manager for 5 years. My techs taught me a lot! I got over some other techniques they would use in other videos if you're interested! Also, Cleko pins are by far my favorite tool, and I use them every chance I get!
Proper 👌🏾
Thanks brother, I appreciate that!
Goddamn, why are you driving an automatic around a fucking racecourse? We all heard that nice little smooth shift in the third from second. You ain’t full of nobody. We know you win automatic don’t lie.
If you watch my other videos on the car, it is actually a manual. I'm using heel/toe downshifting any time I downshift to keep the car balanced. If you're unfamiliar with the technique, I encourage you to look up a video on it!
Can confirm this car is a manual. Also love this track. If you haven’t driven here you are missing out
If not stored properly the fiberglass kit can warp or disform
I've had it stored in my basement by my dehumidifier so it's relatively climate controlled year round. I usually do this for longer term stored parts. Thanks for the tip!
hope you pulled that ND out while welding, I have found out the hardway little micro spatters can go far, found pits in glass and paint much further than that. doing a similar project myself so you got a sub.
I always move other vehicles out of my garage before welding. Learned that the hard way when I first started learning to weld in my parent's garage. If that's not possible, I've also invested in plenty of welding blankets. I appreciate the tip!
Earned a sub dude, Keep it up
Much appreciated, comments like this really help me stay motivated. Thank you for following my project!
That's no body man, that's a body daddy 🫦
Phong, is that you?
