The real trick would be able to track the Clone Source point over time, rather than locking the source to one frame. For example... two stacks of chips that are rotating. The camera is moving. You want to take the red stack while its rotating within the frame and clone it. Is there a way to parent the the source point to a tracker?

Great tutorial, an important note is in your clone/paint settings make sure you have 'lock source time' selected to make sure the clone only references the first frame you want.

Thank you so much for this lesson. Would you mind giving me a hint on how would i clonestamp eg. a bit of a tablecloth located above the chip? So it'd look like as if there wasn't one? To be exact - i would like to copy an area of a footage that is above the chip, so the chhip-place looks like empty table, but maintains the momentary light condition. Is that doable? Thank you.

To my mind motion video educators share a similarity to actors, in that regardless of the task at hand, a confident style of presentation and appearance of being relaxed is helpful. In this video the instructor succeeds at this.

This didn't quite work for me, because my tracker point was at a position in the frame totally unrelated to the location of my clone. In order to make the clone position follow the tracker, I had to include an expression: mRef=thisComp.layer("NAME_OF_MOVIE.mov").motionTracker("Tracker 1")("Track Point 1").featureCenter X=mRef[0]+1000; Y=mRef[1]-100; [X,Y] ......where the +1000 is equal to the amount of offset (pixels) between the X-position of the feature center and the X-position of the clone, and the -100 represents this same offset on the Y axis. (both these numbers will be different in your composition, and will need to be calculated manually). Just thought I'd mention this, as it took me ages to figure out! If anyone has an easier way of doing this then let me know! :D
