The cost of disks is not real . I sold the one I used too. Some tools are just overpriced for no reason .

​@@diyhomerenovation4youI honestly think that is festools biggest flaw.. Their tools are expensive but they are absolutely wonderful. The problem is they use obscure sizes or designs for many common tool consumables and accessories that are essentially readily available for equivalent styles of tools for every other major brand. That in and of itself isn't necessarily an issue but the fact they charge such absorbent prices for them is. Their sanders are absolutely amazing and are in the common 125 and 150 (5" and 6") sizes and then 90 as well for the rotex (3") but they have a unique dust collection pattern and essentially require you to use their pads or at least mesh pads are available from 3m or diablo which isnt as bad as some other products like this. Even with common things that are at least available in other brands their basic vacuum head attachments are around 130$ and the nicer roller head by itself for vacuuming is over 200$ on its own or the metal extension arm is 170$.. It's absolutely crazy for such essentially standardized parts. But it absolutely is the worst in instances like this where they are essentially the only option. I do understand that quality grinding cups are a bit of money but 200$ each... is just insanity. They at least do have a cheaper 100$ option of silver and red one (the one for concrete and then the one for softer things like thinset or topping). But essentially every product they sell is like that and I understand a company wanting their customers to use their addons and consumables especially if they are designed with the product to perform to a certain standard and every tool from them that I have bought has left me extremely satisfied with my purchase but it just makes things go from a one time expensive purchase you can save up for to something that requires as much to maintain and use as some common versions of the entire tool lol...

It became a demolition job. That was not the idea. When I bought it, I was told that this tool could remove 20mm of concrete. I wouldn't have bought it if I needed to remove only 2mm of any surface.

It must be a bit of a chore to take them down to clean. I imagine dust would accumulate on fabrics on the ceiling. Every time the wind blows through, dust and dead insects would fall out. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it.
