Hi I’m going in January my thing is taste of the food.. which do you prefer?

I feel guilty sometimes for just wanting to "chill". So many people expect every minutes to be filled with activities. One of the reasons I love a balcony is to be able to enjoy the scenery of a new place in a relaxed and gentle atmosphere. I'm glad I'm not the only one! :)

When my mom and I were in Halifax, We saw A Viking cruise ship! We weren't on A cruise though. We actually flew home from there.

I'm going in a couple weeks on this ship. I haven't bought a food package yet. If I do I make a reservation to that restaurant aahead of time without a package? Not sure how that works?

The $38 was for a la carte lobster roll? The small one? Reminds me of the sticker shock I felt in Alaska when an Alaskan King Crab leg lunch was $95 in Juneau. I love crab...but not that much. :) We'll be on the Enchanted Princess for this cruise next September (doing a B2B from September 20 to October 4; there will be an additional Canadian port on the second half). It will be our first time on the East Coast (we live in California). If we could only get to one part of Newport, would you suggest the walk down Broadway or the visit to Bowen's wharf? (Mobility issues may mean we can only do one or the other.) Since we'll be stopping there twice, we'll probably do an actual excursion one of the times. I don't think I would enjoy that location of Sabatini's at all. It was very loud and I don't care for loud during dinner. I'm glad the food was good. We were on Caribbean Princess in September and my birthday dinner at Sabatini's was disappointing. I had a better quality steak in the MDR than I had there. It wasn't terrible; it just wasn't great. That was the ONLY disappointment for that cruise though...so no complaints. The rest was wonderful!

We'll be on this lovely ship in...less than a year! lol That's a long time but when I booked it, it was a year and a half so a year is an improvement. It will be our first time on Enchanted Princess. I know we'll love her! Looking forward to following the rest of your trip. Happy sailing!

I enjoyed your video. I do not like the idea of getting a dining package and then getting a 50% discount to upgrade your items. I am grateful for your transparency. I am sailing on the Meraviglia in January 2025 and I will not be purchasing a dining package. If I want specialty dining, I will make reservations and pay for items a la carte. I am so glad you shared your experience. I love your honestly and positive attitude!! 😄

Hello! What was ship time versus Puerto Vallarta time? Were they the same, or if not, was Puerto Vallarta earlier or later than ship time?

In my opinion Carnival's New MDR food is better than Royal or Norwegian now.

Is this beach free?

I heard there is another area great for snorkeling…it’s at the main beach next to the ship by the rock areas…is that true?

The ship looks nice but the food is awful in the main dining room and the buffet. If your room is on deck 2, you can forget about getting any sleep. The galley is on deck 3, and there is 24/7 banging very loud. Don't bother playing bingo because the winner is predetermined. I guess there too lazy to use a regular ball dispense machine. My first sailing on Carnival and my last. Ship is clogged with people on scooters. 90% of the employees are miserable.

For the luggage tag….i got an email for my ticket and luggage tag. Do I print it out on a piece of paper and attached it to my luggage? I’m afraid the paper will easily break. What did you guys do for the luggage tags? Did you wait on the day of embarkation and have them printed out in the front desk instead since they may have a better tags? Or you will need to print it out at home instead?

It's just a side dish, taste it, leave it if it's terrible, and move on. There are literally 300 items available for breakfast on the ship.
