Ok in my defense, I can say that the listening at 7:39 had many N4 words and grammar in it Let's analyze it 7:41 "Kaero omotta tokoro" . The volitional form of Kaeru, is Kaero. That's N4. Also the use here of Tokoro is N4 and means just about to, on the verge of doing something. 7:54 Kooto totta no ni korarenakatta hito ga okute komatteru desu yo. That's N4 again, the past form of the potential form of Kuru, hence RARERU, plus in the negative past. There's also "Noun + NONI" wich is a construct of N4 again, found in chapter 22 of Genki 2, and means despite Basically, this listening was 90% N4. Missing those key words would mean answer wrong. And that's not the only one. During the training it's an opportunity to learn, but at the exam you will just lose point meaninglessly. And here's why 1)Understaning Omotta tokoro, means that you understood that she wanted to come home, but she didn't. So you could exclude the 1 2) She says that she is not skilled in tennis. The male replies daijobu, but if you couldn't understand why, you could choose the picture 3 instead( maybe because you heard Komatteru, trouble, and you could thought that she went to buy rackets instead) He says that he's ok to play because a lot of people couldn't come. I found also other listening like this in the web, with words, grammar and sometimes kanji reading outside the N5. I found it a bit unfair since you are losing points when it's not even your fault in the first place.
