ok, I learned on the first opening move of turn one is that the CSA and the USA have full strength points awarded to them. a temporary handicap I guess, and the rules also state that either player can stack (not to be confused with "at rest" as long as they promise to unstack first thing next turn unless they choose to use "rest" instead. " rest" of course is stacking too. not to be confused betwixt above mention on stacking. after that first opening its no more SP's handicap i would send the chosen lead commander out first as instructed and then send the artillery down Cash town pike and set up to the right on the hill.
YES it does start off right fast and now. lol
this game is a bitch and a half to learn lol
yes the rule book needs to be rewritten where the reader understands what the author is explaining... unfortunately it is written by the author who understands what he is conveying and assuming the reader already understands like him.
no comments? so nobody really learned the advanced game yet lol its involved indeed. thanks for posting
NO PROBLEM and yes i is strange that I have had NOONE challenge my mistakes... no comments no nothing. c.s.
what am i watching
Hello matthew.... This is a military game that historically reflects the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863 between Generals Lee & Mead. This game by Avalon HIll Games came out in 1977 and failed.. the rules are too vague and hard to interpret. I have been trying to see if I can play this game from start to finish.
i spent hours trying to figure out that stuff and you bring it together. thanks
lol i think i may of put it together... lol thankyou!
thanks
of the body.... WITH THANKS.
thanks!
yw!!
thanks for that!
no prob!
do you know what the difference is between the 1975,1977 ,and 1983 versions of the kit?
I think the 83 kit has decals not stickers as for all years mentioned the only changes are the size of the box and the artwork/photos.
I'm not sure that running the motor with that cogwheel wobbling in the upper right hand corner is a good idea. I realize this was 5 years ago, but I would have removed the motor assembly to troubleshoot why that cogwheel is wobbly and reassemble it. Otherwise, by constantly running it could produce uneven wear on the shaft on either side of the cogwheel and reduce the lifespan of the motor and further possibly contribute to motor fatigue depending on how often you run the motor. Otherwise, nice job.
Thankyou for that careful observation Sir!!!!!!
Very cool diorama! You need an Ape action figure standing by it, trying to shoot it down with a clip of bullets. Or some block and tackle mini ropes hanging from it.
now that is good idea!!!
Why did you paint the bottom black? That should be a dark red. They called the paint copperoyd.
Wanted to give it a look... The boat was painted grey from what I understand and it was not painted green. i did not want it to look like a well armed olive... so busted down with a black bottom... but you are correct... the hull was red.
this game is more detailed than i thought. its for table miniatures gaming!
could be done that way
Nice work
Thankyou Dirk!!!!!! My pleasure Good Sir!
Nice update, good building tips :)
learned them from many others!
Really neat buddy, will be watching :)
okies!
They make the Graf Zeppelin big at 1/245 scale in plastic but they don't make the Hindenburg big in plastic.
true. however, there are paper models of Hindenburg in great scale.
@@2000spqr yeah I've been checking those.
been tempted myself to get one@@orlandonostagiafever1964
What an elegant airship she was, and such a nice build. Thanks for sharing her with us.
I agree she was beautiful. You are very welcome!
I have both, the Revell kit is for display, the lindberg kit is to MOTORIZE. IM PLACING AN RC SYSTEM IN MY LINDBERG. 👍
Awesome! you should get great results!
Cool kit. I enjoyed hearing the history of the ship. Thanks. Enjoy the build. Bill
Thanks, will do!
She came out really nice buddy.
Ty Brother!
Sorry for the late arrival to this build. I've never done a paper model before. Interesting. Have fun 🎉. Bill
No worries!
it is a very very very very slow process.... maximum patience.
You are making some great progress with this build. This is so cool
thankyou DNF! really appreciate that!
Looking great!! 👍😎👍
thankyou poppy
Looking very good! 👍😎👍
thankyou! hope it turns out as well in the end lol
Turned out nice! 👍😎👍
Thankyou! i had alot of fun with this one!
Where do you get tge model
I got the cutty sark model at hobby lobby and then bashed it up to look like a russian schooner.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, or if you figured later, but strength at entry was for Davis. Others use printed strength
OPPs! Thanks for the info! I need to now rewatch what I did... see what went wrong... thankyou!
AMT re-tooled the motorized version , hence the single screw, and rudder. It was to simplify the option of motorizing your kit, which was popular in the 60’s and 70’s with many model manufacturers, Tamiya in particular.
Oh they did that alright lol!
Merry Christmas! 🎅🤶🎄☃️
Happy new year
The lifeboats look pretty good
ty.. i need to give em a dusting of a flat coat and take away the "glue shine" from em.
The lifeboats turned out great
Thankyou for your kind reply Dirk! c.s.
Nice work
thankyou D!!!! It sure is a slow process.
Some lithium grease will cut that noise down a lot.
thankyou for that tip!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its some tedious work but it will be well worth the effort in the end. Good luck with this... I'll be following
ty MG! I will do my best with it.
A paper model, well you got my attention. I've done a few paper kits on my channel over the years. This is awesome!
You know.. I always wondered why noone has ever produced a nice plastic model of her? and most resin or card models of the subject are rather small. I saw this kit and had to do something with it! AMB Cs
Was it difficult to get the decals off the transfer sheet?
I had a choice stickers or decals (I chose the decals) and they tore/ripped/ broke away etc. but with a little care and easy does it.... i got them things on.
'Promo SM'
enjoy my friend!
Could use some grease on the cogs ⚙️
absolutely true!!!!!!
Looking fantastic so far! Very neat little project! 👍😎👍
THANKYOU POPPY!
That is really neat! I can't wait to see what you do with that! 👍😎👍
lol working on it!
Check out the guy who made the blue devil into an rc boat.
oh yes!
Highly interesting! Happy Halloween my friend! 👍🎃👍
glad you enjoyed! HH to you too!
Hi there. So looking into getting the USS Ranger done as well. Sadly not many models of it out there. But you say the same molds for Saratoga could work? Thanks.
yes any ship of the Forrestal class will work
If its a doomsday device theres no sense in making a rocket out of it - does it matter where it explodes if it is going to kill everyone anyway? Why bother with a delivery mechanism?
You are correct. In the movie the missile was laying on the ground and when the bomb was activated it did its job without the need for it to fly into the stratosphere.
Great quote....Going out to sea changes people.
ty Panzer!
Sailing ship models are so involved. You're doing a great job. 👍 Bill
I agree... takes time... patience.
Making good progress. A little narrating on your work would be nice to hear. Bill
i really hate the way my voice sounds.... but your right
She's looking pretty spiffy there buddy.
