Mom used to put pink liquid fire 🔥 on any cuts or abrasions!! That Methylate or whatever it was called!! Had the little stick thing attached to the cap!! Burned like the devil had spit in the cut!! 😫😫One bottle lasted 15 years!!! I think because of this is where us kids came up with the term rub some dirt on it because you don’t wanna go tell Mom you have an injury!!!😂😂

Bicentennial baby here....1976. I have a 14 year old son...a Gen Y kid with a Gen X soul. The coolest!

1978. Basically first 23 years of my life, no internet, no social media etc…Generation X grew and evolved within two separate worlds. I’m 46 and watching anyone 30 and under is like looking at, listening to and trying to deal with a completely different species. A species that makes me weep for the future…bunch of pussies.

I feel bad

I remember as a kid in the early/mid 80's when they started talking about child abuse at school (no mention of stopping paddling in school though) and wanted us kids to report our parents. I told my parents they needed to stop whipping me, or I'd go to the school and report them for child abuse. BIG MISTAKE! Hand to God, my Mom looks me dead in the eyes and says. "You go right ahead and do it, and I'll show you what 'child abuse' REALLY is!" Dad, just looked on and nodded in agreement. Needless to say, that conversation was ended right then and there. A real "Come to Jesus" moment if I ever had one!

I dont know who came up with the gen X year starting in 1960 i think its more born between 1975-1985 if ur childhood was in the 80s n teen years in the 90s thats gen X i was born in 79 i remember wen the term first came about and i was a teenager in highschool in the 90s and we were called generation X it was also when the X games began with our generation🇺🇲
