Ashrunadir Sudur Paare (অশ্রুনদীর সুদূর পারে) : Pandit Nikhil Banerjee sings Rabindra sangeet
Sitar Samrat Nikhil Banerjee enchants us in the forte of vocals as he sings Ashrunadir Sudur Paare - A Rabindrasangeet in Raga Purabi.
Raga Purabi (Poorvi) is a sandhi-prakash raga. Pandit Ji has talked about in his interview how the song 'Aji E Ananda Sandhyay' (আজি এ আনন্দসন্ধ্যায়), another Purabi creation of Gurudeb , enthralled him in Shantiniketan. Such big was the influence that based on it, he had created a new raga, Purabi-Kalyan.
Enjoy!
(The portrait in visual is my frail attempt in tribute to Pandit Ji. )

Pannalal Ghosh Plays Raga of His Own Creation
The pied piper of Bengal, Pandit Pannalal Ghosh plays Raga Chandramouli, a raga of his own creation, Raga Chandramouli. Little needs to be said about revered Pandit Pannalal Ghosh, be it his saint-like persona or the other-worldly sound of his flute. This raga omits Pancham from Bhairav, and hence Madhyam becomes prominent (Source - Pt. V.G. Karnad, Shri. Prabhakar Nachane).
