    Dont stand out, it will scare normies and they will avoid you. Dont believe you are better than anyone else, in anything, ppl will quietly shun you out. Always assume people are jealous and dont expect anyone to congratulate your success, or believe in your business idea 😊 Im autistic and I cant stand Swedish normies 😂

    It's different when you come up north. You can hear nothing for weeks, months, years even! And then people loosen up and they will tell you everything, especially in the basu (sauna for all the rest of the world). It's a lovely way to speak while being naked, exposed some might say, but you are already naked in a sauna. Everyone is equal in the sauna, and I think only the Finns understand that....

      Never brag at all. Instead, play humble and downplay how good you are. Then others will contradict you with praise. It is also ok to brag if you do it so exaggerated that everyone knows it isn't true, but only a little bit. Or if you include others and make sure someone else gets the most of the praise.

    Since butter lasts for ever in room temp, it's kind of stupid to store it in the fridge (kind of like eggs), bregott is a mix of butter and rapeseed oil.

Dairy products are fairly convenient in that when they turn bad it *really* smells, so there is no middle ground where "it could still be good, but it's past it's best before date, so lets throw it away". Edit: I checked the dates on the package, it was produced 26th of July and Best before date was October 10th.

    Thank you.. trying to explaning.. swedish food and customs! Then the tube thing.. many of those foods can be bought in bigger packages, like different jars or bottles for familys. However there is food items that kinda need those tubes.. for food items like Kalles kaviar, smoked salted cod roe.. that get spoild in a few days if not in a tube! Keeping in a tube, (no oxygen) and in the fridge.. last a whole week! And then ofcourse like knäckebröd.. take a bite.. dry and dont taste that good on its own! Its becuse its not how swedes use it! Knäckebröd is an old style of bread.. dryed bread, moste swedes put butter on it and some other things like cheese togheter with our autum/winter soups! It can altso be used as a breakfast thing.. with sliced eggs and kalles kaviar.. or any toping one like! However moste swedes do eat/use soft bread.. and presliced bread as is or to put in a toaster! And one can altso buy real kaviar (fish roe) in jars.. more expencive dont last that long.. its in moste cases lumpfish roe.. its more used on avocados or in a toast Skagen! And then you need to try/talk about "Sill", pickled herring.. in any sause you ever can think of.. and then one need to know wich one to use in a combo to other foods.. or on its own!

    • @KseniaPya
      @KseniaPya 8 днів тому

      Thanks for explanation! Yeah, I will definitely will do video about traditional Swedish food with all variety of herring 🐟 Btw, I am curious to not see lax roe here, but in Finland it seems to be a lot of it, is salmon roe not popular in Sweden? And what are Swedish soups? I really like soups, but only found fish soup I think

    • @stiglarsson8405
      @stiglarsson8405 8 днів тому

      @@KseniaPya To the topic of salmon roe.. Gothenburg is at the Atlantic.. there is enough of cod roe and lumpfish roe.. and a industriy that convert all kind of fish products to food that is conservated.. in cans and tubes!? In anyhow.. there is not that much Salmon caught in Gothenburg or an industry to take care of Salmons at all! 99,99% of salmon is frome Norway.. soo mayby norway export not only salmon to finland but altso salmon roe? And then, both of us lives in Gothenburg, its a big town, one can buy allmoste everything in our stores! Then.. whattabout.. traditional food.. or "husmanskost".. its tricky.. but fancy places like "Feskekörka" or "Saluhallen", did provide the best of swedish couisine.. but those altso get "international" for tourists and those with big pocket books! You have to trye them out! Autum at least, soup dishes, "knäckebröd with butter and cheese"! One start with "Ängamat".. a vegetable autum soup with cream! Äng is meadow.. its food frome the meadov! Next is "Yellove peasoup with pork"/"pannkakes with strawberry jam and vipped cream".. and if one is/was in the military a glas of Punch! Next is "grönsaksoppa/köttsoppa".. its differ to "Ängamat" becuse its more root vegies.. and differens between meat content.. (grönsak/kött) and no cream to it.. but, a potato or two, and/or if one is lucky a slice of a "köttkorv"/"fläskkorv"! Next its time for "köttkorv/fläskkorv" with boiled potatoes and "pepparot sause/horse radish sause"! Its still this if you live in a nice neigbourhood.. have a nice jobb, do go out with your colleges for lunch.. you gonna stumble on "husmanskost" for the season.. like "kåldolmar", "kålpudding", "kalopps" with red beats.. and a lot of strange swedish foods and combinations! Fish soup could be a second choise for other autum/winter choises at your lunch resurarant.. ask your swedish friends if its good? Becuse in Gothenburg one is used to realy fresh fish/seafood! Soo.. at "feskekörka".. they have "löjrom".. its frome the north.. its freaking expensive.. and its nice to eat.. a "löjrom toaste".. its that good as if you serve it to someone.. they ask you to marrige them!

    On a scale of 1 through 10, where 10 is the most refined (not counting the social elites and nobles), I'd argue Sweden is a 7. US is a 1. Britain is a 4. Germany is a 6. Japan is a 10. That's how I'd rate it as, as a Swede. Although Swedish social customs are often compared to Japan's social customs, it's just not really at that level, and it requires more to offend a Swedish person than what would offend a Japanese person when you break those kinds of unwritten rules.

    7:01 As someone else pointed out, it's now generally allowed on buses cause bikes take up allot of space and they would rather not have to deal with that. Trains are easier cause they can have specific cars that allow bikes to be stored. This is why it's always good to call if you are unsure, at least its better than being told you are not allowed to bring a bike with you. 8:42 Ive never felt good about companies here in Sweden that sell such personal data, mostly cause I feel that it's private and something id rather not share or something that people should have access to (at least not without very good reasons). Income has long been one of those things that people don't really talk about, think it's deemed a touchy subject. Only time i'd care about someone's background is if I was hiring someone for sensitive work, like if they are gonna work with money and/or children (I aint gonna hire the next Jimmy Saville).

    I think taking off your shoes makes sense, Swedish weather can be quite messy in terms of dirt/mud/slush and bringing that inside with your shoes is just nasty. It's also not nice to have your shoes on all the time, it's almost like asking to get trench foot. For the hamburger people that need something on their feet, just get a pair of slippers. They are super comfy, warm and you can have them indoors. Edit: One thing I remember was that sometimes, you would wait for everyone to finish their food before going for seconds. I'm not sure how common this is in Sweden, I remember this from back when I was active in my local church. They would sometimes have taco night and you would wait for everyone to finish their meals before seeing if there was enough left for seconds.

    Its this I cant explaine the swedish etiquet system.. others that its quite flat! Or like the Japanes guy in Finland on a company event talked to and later experience that it was his EEO of his company! It would never happen in Japan! !! But its do happen in Nordic countrys, where the structure is more flat.. get used to it.. talk to your table friend, you dont know him/her.. it could be your boss, both he and she.. or your boss wife/spouse, or your femal boss partner or husband! Its why we kinda usualy try to use at least some sort of etiquette.. its usefull anyware els altso! "Dont make fool of you! If ever do it at MC-Donalds and then newer ever return!

      I actually really like that flat system, I think it’s more flexible comparing to strict Asian style

    • @stiglarsson8405
      @stiglarsson8405 17 днів тому

      @@KseniaPya Its freaking more flexible.. its not that much that you use yuor CEO first name or even the owners first name.. as induviduals one is equal.. its that everyone have its purpose and should speak up, to anyone.. especialy to the CEO or the owner ! Especialy 'if one get to sit in the board of the company.. wich swedish laws says for unions.. two members of the unions in there board! One white collar and one blue collar I think was the thought? Its still this.. swedes are used to this.. both good and bad companyes/owners.. soo keep the etiquette where ever you go/where ever you end up at! And my best tip to make a fool of your self is still att MC-D.. or BK.. any place you can avoid later!

      @@KseniaPya The fluoride lady (fluortanten) was a thing in Swedish schools in the past when childhood dental problems were widespread. She would give the children a kind of fluoride mouthwash to improve dental health. It started in the 60's but hasn't been in practice for decades. Recently she has made a comeback in some schools in areas with declining dental health.

    Hi ,counting weeks are really simple,The year begins in January First week is week 1 and its only to count days In month if you wish that. But a easyer way is to look in a swedich calender they will come as small cards for wallet, in work callenders . and as flipchart to hang on a wall . the best ones are they hwo have date, month,weeks and nameday its convinient to mark for vacation days birthdays and so on. so its not rocket research. simple as that.

    Yea not a restriction, it is all the parents doing this rule, it is kindof a tradition to not eat candy on any other day than saturday. One could do any other day too but "lördagsgodis" sounds good in swedish
