It seems like I am unscrewing it forever
Thank you for making this video. It worked!
That turkey does not like sharing 😂
uffff, THANK YOU. I have been battling with this for months.
You didn’t really explain what you’re doing exactly. Can you explain the process. Mine looks just like this but it does just “come out” when you pull up on it.
Sorry, I guess I had already untightened it. What you want to do is grab the knob with the channel locks and twist it off...sounds like I said you twist if off "counterclockwise"...which is opposite to what one might think when they are unscrewing something ("righty tighten, lefty loosey")...must have had reverse threads on that fitting. If anyone can confirm the direction you need to turn the knob when trying to loosen/remove, please do so ;-)
@@survivorhomesteading2960You explained it perfectly, counter clockwise is correct. I just used this video to remove mine. Thank you!
So are these traps using some sort of chemical? Just wondering about safety of feeding the beetles to birds.
I think I heard someone lately call it a pheromone; it’s a smell that attracts the Beatles (it doesn’t poison the Beatles). We have fed thousands of these little guys to our chickens, and my wife is super organic, lol. Please let us know if your research discovers something dangerous. As an alternative, it seems pretty simple and efficient to go out in the early morning and late evening and simply knock the Beatles off of the plants into a bag because they are moving slowly during these times of day. If you do this consistently for a little while, you may conquer the problem without having to use that pheromone because I’ve heard people express concerns that the pheromone is bringing in many many more Beatles than would’ve found peoples gardens originally.
No chemicals...you can feed these Beetles to your chickens.
No chemicals, just pheromones
Yeah, safe as can be! My chickens love them!❤️😊
Thanks so much for the video i have the same drain and ran across the same video you mentioned 😅
lol, glad it helped 😉
Eat a sausage…
What
THIS WAS NO HELP AT ALL
Is that chicken wire or hog pen wire? I need help now cats won't leave my strawberry bed alone! I have 3 more beds to do but they keep digging in it and leaving nuggets!!
It was actually “woven wire fence”. It was given to me, so I’m not exactly sure what it looks like at the store. I know we had a pretty big coil of it, but I imagine they sell smaller quantities of it.
I dont have a lot of money but a few years ago this kid knocked on my door that was starting a little mowing business, he asked me if he could mow my yard and it was a really good deal so i told him "sure, why not" 3 years later hes still moving my yard for a good deal,i have to budget a few bucks, maybe go without a steak once in a while but damn, its worth it, i hate yardwork, lol, some people just love it
A piece of thin Masonite will fix the unit with the wire running the length of the frame. Cut to fit.
You should have an interlock switch or transfer switch. It will keep you from making a mistake and potentially killing a lineman. The way you have it set up is probably illegal.
Sssssshhhhhovel🤣🤣🤣
he was mating with the potatoes
Thats a buffoo frog (not sure how to spell) and they are poisonous to animals if they bite them. I got hundreds around the house.
Wow, thanks for the heads up on that!!
Toads dig down in soft ground to hibernate.
This is the system that I use. It works very well for us because we do not have a basement and storage space is very limited. I ordered two extra shelves, shelf liners and back stands directly from the company.
Same.
No callous on your hand now we know why needed the tools 😂 I have two bathrooms with same plug no tool needed 😂 unless your weak.
Mr tough guy over here 😂
Strange to see such a man’s man watching the same tutorial as the rest of us
That Grub Must Be Really Tasty 🤣🤣🤣
It’s not ac it’s the plane pressurizing with the air from outside so it can maintain a stable pressure so that when you go up thousands of feet into the air your head doesn’t explode😊. If the air quality is bad it can kinda stink though.
Thank you for that 😎 lol, a little concerning to “see” something like that on a plane for the first time 😉
Nowadays who knows!
We had this happening in Dallas everyone started coughing
No fucking shit Sherlock. First time flying?
It’s condensation from the outside of the plane I’m pretty sure
Neat! No wonder they have those bulbs
Work smart :)
Where did you purchase your shelves from?
Lowes
This could happen when there is too little calcium or your chicken is getting old
The chickens are getting older; so, maybe that’s it 😉
It's not a bantam?
No, not a bantam. Normal sized chicken
Organic. How many have two or more yokes in them?
lol, I’ll have to ask my wife. We do get double yokers every once in a while, but the majority of the time the bigger eggs in this video typically have one yolk in them.
Thanks for the info! We just received our totes for storing rainwater, and are now researching the collection, fittings and such. The rocks look good!
These are termites. But they look like wet wood termites. Wet wood termites only eat rotting woody material, in short wet wood. If you keep the firewood dry it shouldn’t be a problem. Try to cut fresh wood and dry it for a year to avoid any termites.
Thank you for that reassurance and the good suggestion 😉
Definitely termites. Burn em
Toss in the woods theyd become part of the ecosystem of the surrounding area
lol, I guess I really don’t want to do that 😉
Slimy yet satisfying
😘

greetings from Indonesia my friend, how many months does it take for sweet potatoes to be harvested?
I believe it took approximately three months for us may be a little over that. When we got our plants they were already about 9 inches high. I mean they were pretty much the younger plants that you pick up at the greenhouse; so it might’ve been closer to four months if you added that extra initial rolling time. But they were really withered and we didn’t even think they were gonna make it when we planted them, but they eventually parked often I guess they turned out pretty good
We had clay soil. Clay is actually very nutrient rich once you get it workable. 💖
Sound is low...👂🏼
Driving in Egypt is pretty sketchy because you have to be really careful since most people in Egypt drive like there’s no tomorrow and it can cause many cars to get damaged and if you drive one of those fancy new cars, enjoy it while you can since it won’t look good and if you were to rent a car in Egypt, it’s not gonna be worth it so it is better to take a Taxi, Uber, or Lyft so that you won’t have to risk having the rental car damaged and if you were to own one of those German cars like a Mercedes, BMW, or an Audi, it is not gonna be worth it because that would pretty much be your dream car and after saving up money, it will pretty much go to waste and on top of that, most cars in Egypt would break down but on the bright side, there are many repair shops in Egypt and owning something like a Cadillac Escalade will not be worth it in the long run and I get that most people in Egypt want some American cars and I get that there are Chevy’s in Egypt but these are pretty much the Chinese rebadged vehicles and the American vehicles are super rare and they are overpriced in Egypt due to the customs unless you want to get an older version of these cars but I understand that most people would want nice cars in Egypt but that means that they are gonna have to be extra careful with those cars
That's one thing I regret I didn't have more time to film...I'm sure I could have made a pretty entertaining UA-cam vid of traffic in Egypt...lol, and/or the game of "frogger" that the pedestrians play through 50mph 5-lane traffic/roads.
What's with the finger laying on the ground
lol, ohhh wow, you are very observant…that was definitely not planned 😜 Sorry!!
Where is Caro
It is slightly northeast of the view you see in this video
Loose dirt on top of hard-pack clay. I hope it works out!
The roots did not even appear to extend two inches into the six to eight in top soil (clay was pretty far down in this area)
@@survivorhomesteading2960 Odd, usually corn has a long tap root.
You need to take a sample to your Ag representative to your state. Several conditions look the same online. Dwarf disease and or Nematobes doom your crop - and the only organic method of clearing the soil is now, during the hot season. You need to clear the crop and cover the soil with clear plastic to sterilize the soil. Niether can be diagnosed online. If either of these or another pest/disease is at fault, burning the stalks in place might be your best bet. I suspect nematodes since you mention nearby weeds. They are spread to crops from weeds via aphids. If a lack water - a soaker hose with a once a week deep watering. I doubt this because the crop appears be at the base of the hill. Clay soil NEVER should be uncovered. Through any season. Including the summer season. The best, and cheapest ground cover is leaves though, especially in the beginning, soil amendments such as peat moss. Ths fall I would recommend that at harvest, you clear the ground as well - to soil level. The best method to do this is burning in place. This is to rid your garden of pest eggs. Then cover with peat moss and turn the soil shovel deep until no more peat moss can be seen. This is a great time to clear the crop of rocks as well. Then immediately cover with leaves. Soak the leaves then cover with cardbooard. By the way, you have done the work of shaping the ground. Mark where crops should go so you you can see that in the spring. Let the cover remain in place and use a seed dibbler to plant crops. Do not remove the cover! The cover will both slow down water the water flow and keep your clay soil soft. Cover the weed areas as well, but with either plastic or cardboard. This will save you time over next spring. Take care to use only local leaves as cover near like crops. This avoids spreading diseases to anything tree-ish. Best scenario - use a non-infected plant's leaves as ground cover. The ground cover should be twice the area as the area of leaves on the tree. Filling this area releases the nutrients in the soil to that of the tree and helps retain water. The advantage that leaves has over straw is that crop plants and tree plants do not share diseases. Adding stray as your cover works - but straw can introduce diseases, weeds and/or insect eggs to your soil from another area into your garden crop.
Gonna do a little more than chill out in the freezer.
I only put them in there for about 15 minutes. It seems the cold keeps them from flying away when I dump them out for the chickens and turkeys to eat 😉
Where's the video of you feeding the beetles to your birds?
@@danielstanfa it’s in my UA-cam channel (the video I uploaded just prior to this one)
@@danielstanfa i’ve been getting in a pretty good rhythm lately. I have four Traps set around the Homestead, and I typically gather them all at night feed to bags to the chickens and save the other two bags for breakfast. The chickens are pretty much all over the learning curve now and they just gobble them all up 😉
It looks great guys!!! Strong work!
Thanks Mann 😎
