BACKPACKING IN THE PYRENEES (MY FIRST 3000m MOUNTAIN)
Join me on an epic solo hiking and camping journey through the breathtaking French Pyrenees! Starting in the charming town of Cauterets, I set out on an adventure that took me across rugged trails, serene valleys, and snow-capped peaks. My first major challenge was summiting Vignemale, standing tall at 3,298 meters, marking my first successful ascent of a 3000m mountain!
The journey included crossing a stunning glacier, a surreal experience that added to the thrill of the climb. After reaching the summit and taking in the panoramic views, I headed towards the picturesque village of Gavarnie, where I set up camp, ready to rest and recharge for part 2 of this adventure.

In the US, nearly all of tent buyers buy longer stakes ( pegs you call them), most choose the msr groundhog longer ones.
I also have the groundhogs!! As soon as I got the tent the stakes seemed really small so I got those groundhogs. 👍🏼

Thanks for the demonstration of the fast fly setup. I've seen a few reviews of the ground sheet (tent footprint) being too "lose" for the tent, but it looks to me like it fits just fine.
Yes! The footprint does seem to be slightly bigger but I think you just need to tension when connecting to make it nice a taut, but seems good to me 👍🏼

I'll go with. I teach wilderness survival about location is beautiful. Food and water would be a schematic as well as fuel for fires but if we weren't together it would be perfect and very defensible.
