we did this trail back in 1998 and camped exactly where you were at Marion. This trail was no joke and ruined my wifes knees due to her being so short and the high steps of going back down which your video doesn't show. It didn't stop us hiking as we hike till this day but steep trails like that are off our list of trails unfortunately

Yes, please talk about the personal hygene, poop, pee, etc. This does not get talked about enough, in my opinion. Also, tired of coming across used tp just laying a few feet off trail, strewn about. I appreciate your suggestions of marking the spot with a rock or stick stuck in the ground upright. I've typically marked my spots with a big obvious "X" using large sticks. Thank you for being comfortable talking about it. Great scenery!

I just came back yesterday. It was my first time. It was amazing experience.

This is real camping. If there isn't rain, mosquitoes, or dangerous things like snakes or scorpions, then this is the way to go. Tents dont protrct you against bears, cyotoes, etc. so dont worryabout it. Also condensation is issue so use a bivy sack if that will be issue.
