Hey Kira!! I’m from South Korea and I am going to be joining Pécs University for year 2024/25 and onwards because I clearly don’t care about my mental health😂😂 but I’m glad that the school provides a good amount of tissue!

Hungary has captured my interest in both the culture and safety. I work at a golf course here and have the idea of applying for the same job in Hungary. That if I'm most excited about learning the language and becoming part of the community.@@kirasway

it's possible to find some jobs, although most of them require you to know Hungarian language
would u say the place is overall safe for girls? and good education wise for dental students?
I think it's generally a safe place, though you still have to take caution, just like you would in any other environment

I've read Hungary is one of the cheapest countries in Europe. Ofc, if you run errands in the centre of Budapest, it'll probably be more expensive. And it's not always the case. I live in Italy, and I lived in Romania for 3 months very recently and I found it super cheap (even when some people told me it wasn't cheap). I was in Greece before that, and at least Athens is more expensive than all of the cities I've lived in Romania; the 3 main cities, btw. And I've heard Hungary is even cheaper than Romania, so... anyhow, I'm a polyglot and learning Hungarian atm. I find it SUPER fascinating. Btw, if there's anyone willing to do language exchange with me, please answer to this msg. PS. I mean it, I need to practice. English, Spanish, Portuguese and even some Italian in return. Hugs!!!
It's not the cheapest. People near the borders going across the border to shop. Austria is definitely cheaper. And rest of Europe, UK is cheaper. Ireland and Scotland is super cheap compared to Hungary. And this above, is the cheapest supermarket in Hungary. Consequently the lowest quality too. Not that any of the supermarkets would offer healthy food, so you don't really have a choice, even if you have money, you only get rubbish. Drinks made of artificial sweetener and colourings. Margarine and margarine filled pastries, gmo veg&fruit, super mixed and low quality meat products and very limited choice of meat. Milk lacking dairy. Every milk product is vegetable oil based. There is no 100% fruit juice. The best available is from concentrate. Actually we can go through every industry: clothes, chemicals, technology...everything is very low quality and 2-3 times the price of western Europe. I was sewing a button the other day and the new needle snapped in half in my hand. The same shsmpoo I used to use in UK, is 2x the cost and half the bottle size. The foreign good quality washing powders, liquids that they sell here, are lower quality than in western Europe and just as expensive or more. So I can't afford to buy the same stuff in HUN as I used to in UK. The new window that was changed, already crumbling away and the insulated glass in it has given in, after a couple of years already. While the second hand from Germany is still perfect. My neighbours renovating, they bring everything from Romania. All the building materials there are much cheaper and good quality. Worth travelling there for it, even with the petrol price, thats the highest in Hungary. So. Hopefully you are well funded if you visit us. Oh and healthcare is almost non existent unless you go private and pay above your insurance.

Cute :D More cooking vlogs? You gotta pay attention to the supermarket leaflet and buy stuff in a bulk when they go on discount. You can save about 30% on most products.
most items that usually go on discount are fruits , bread, and meats which go bad easily. Buying these in bulk may not be very ideal :(

Haha, yep Hungary has the highest sales tax in the EU at 27%. Thats why food (and most things) are more expensive here than even in wester european countries. 20% yearly inflation doesnt help either
The inflation is crazyyy. Sometimes, I'm forced to buy more than I need at a time because I'm worried the prices may have gone up by the time I want to buy that item again.
