@@slimestationgaming alright lol, there's also a tackle button, also my recommendation: if you get bored of assassin's creed 1 skip to assassin's creed 2, its so much better and you dont need to play the first to understand it
If you time it well you can use the hidden blade to counter the same way as a sword. When you start combat, make sure you start with a sword THEN switch to the hidden blade. If you timing is perfect then it's an instant take out. Try it out with some low level guards
