Memory of places

With COVID-19, the city was devoid of people. The landscape that the city once possessed has changed completely, becoming silent and eerie. However, the sense of déjà vu and memories that everyone has are still in the place itself. With these memories, the city continues to mark time. The city is made up of much life, light. There is loneliness in the city where self-existence is buried. However, it also feels bright and lively. Each light affects the activities of the city, and the city is transformed by a lot of light. Director Hiroshi Kondo (stnw.org) Music Ayako Taniguchi (ayakotaniguchi.jp)

A crowd moving in one direction.People who flow in a moment. A scene where the difference with other people disappears and looks uniform. There are many different kinds of life there. You can feel invisible energy when you see a large mass of individuals. I set myself in the streets of Taiwan, and I multilayered a lot of time to create a new timeline that reflects individuals. Multiple layers o...

This made me feel incredibly robust emotions. From happiness, to uncertainty, from feeling absolutely free and unchained to helpless, and everything in between. I feel as if Hiroshi Kondos work is a compilation of truly profound art that tells stories about not just moments in time, but how people have occupied, built, and evolved in a confined space. This particular film really made me feel like I was physically moving through an out of body experience where I can see everything freely and observe and experience everything time has to offer. Not sure if this guy is super famous in Japan - I should do some more research, but man does he make some absolutely incredible projects. edit: the artists and music they produce contribute greatly to the overall feeling of the video.

    現実と現実からインスパイアされた一見隔たりある階層を縦横無尽にすり抜けることにより得られる有機的な都市活動は快感である.
