So basically it can be confusing but Mary was a Jewish woman but she was born in Nazareth a village in modern day Palestine and Nazareth was part of Palestine before the founding of Israel in the 1940s but another but though Nazareth is now part of Israel but it used to be Palestinian owned.

That’s like casting a Turkish person instead of a Greek in a Byzantine biopic because they happen to occupy Constantinople now. The Jews pre-date Islam by 3500 years.

@@xpictos777 I'm just trying to explain same goes for Christianity as well Judaism predates Christianity too and during the time of Mary it was not called Israel or Palestine instead it was called Judea.

@@xpictos777 but I see where your coming from it really depends on what the current geographic area is called like rn it's called Palestine but back then it was called Judea so yes Mary was a Jew and too clarify I'm not talking about religion I'm talking about nationality personally too me it would make sense to cast a Palestinian actress because in recent years it was called British mandated Palestine

@@xpictos777 and a lot of jews were not even born in what is now called Israel instead many were born in Europe and then moved to what is now Israel and at that time it was owned by Palestinians.
