The diesel price at the pump has gone up from RM2.15 per litre to RM3.35 per litre, effective midnight of June 10, 2024.
My Ford Ranger has an 80-litre tank capacity. Which means it’s an RM172 full tank.
Now it will be RM268.00 full tank, an increase of 55.81% or RM96.
If I fill it three times per week, it will cost me RM804 a month, as opposed to RM516 previously. This is a difference of RM288 a month or RM3,456 per year.
Add in Road Tax and insurance of RM1,500 + RM9648 for diesel, and my annual cost of keeping the Ranger is RM11,148.00-without repairs and maintenance.
Or RM929 per month.
What will a wise person do?

April 6, 2024: Got the Mini 4pro used from Shashinki after selling off the Air 2s and Mini 3pro. Today is the first flight and a test of the Waypoint set up. A lot more to try out on this and also to try out the Cruise Control function but the day was blisteringly hot.
