I like the art work on these 1/64 scale cars, so we will give you some close ups of the car and a little information about them before they race.
I'll also share the results of our "hunting" for Hot Wheels both old and new.

Hunting for Hot Wheels - it's like going to the movies!
Picked up some cars at the Flea Market! Star Wars, Turtles and other character cars. We will give a little background on the cars, weigh them and race them. Three races: New ones. Movie cars including old vs new Chewbacca and my Turtle family reunion.

In case you are wondering, Dune Daddy barely fits in the six lane raceway track...he rubs against the sides until he gets to the normal tracks. So, to give him a chance, we put together 9 feet of normal track and draped it over the six lane track. However, due to that, the automatic start won't work for that lane...so we used a finger and tried to coordinate releasing him at the same time as the other cars. It is harder than it looks to get that timing right!

They were pretty cool for most of thei run. They sorta cheapened the brand at the end with all those G3, G5 G6s. It should have been GM's answer porsche - high scale performance vehicles. Too much rebranding of the same basic cars at GM. Absence of quality really left the door open to the imports.

So after this race, I did some additional races (2 X for each car). Every car improved his time. They get faster as they warm up. Not sure why though!
