Middle-aged, divorced, and washed-up single Dad trying to calm down his inner child via that sweet internet glory. I started playing the bass guitar in 2022 as a covid hobby. After a few hiccups I can now play a tune or two. My goals are to play in a local band for funsies and maybe one day something steadier.

I can't find any tabs for some songs I want to learn, and the sound quality of some older songs make it difficult to make out bass parts while also trying to play, so I decided to give this a shot. Took about 2 weeks of dedicated practice 1-2 hours a day. The solo was difficult to get through. This video was the best take out of around 6 recordings. If you want to practice only certain parts of songs, use a looper site like looptube. You can loop parts of songs and slow down songs better than YT. #carlosroots #lennykravitz #basscover #bassguitar

What's the point of slavishly copying classic rock bass parts? Write something of your own.
People have different goals for why they do things, and creativity was never my strong suit.
