      @@ernestostrman5147 Hi Ernest, thanks for your answer :) I crashed my T-28 just because of being silly and trying to do a low pass at high speed. I had a short circuit in my brain and changed elevator up for down hahaha It doesn´t look so bad after the repairs although. But I suppose the motor angle isn´t correct or something is having high vibrations. I was able to land her safe only with SAFE on. It´s a shame you can´t fly on that place everytime you want. That was probably super! But don´t you have a small road or something like that? The Apprentice probably also can do good grass landings!? I wanted to start with the apprentice but found a cheap Timber. I have been glueing her a lot but now I learned to fly better and the CG is also better (pretty nose heavy) and I can do all kinds of stuff with her. But the best are smooth landings and touch downs on the evening with lights :) I have a couple of other planes too. A Max Thurst Ruckus that is from the UK and like a trainer 3D plane. It also sails pretty good, but because of that landings are more difficult. It just don´t looses elevation :P And the landing gear does not forgive like the STOL planes. I also have a second hand Draco waiting for maiden (landing gear was broken from first owner) and now also a very old but cool Mini FuntanaX from E-Flite. This is balsa and super light. A really good 3D plane. Another young guy from the field has it and recommended it me. I´m nervous to fly that thing. That´s all about 3D flying and landing must be perfect. Also extremely wind susceptible :S :S I hope you do good flights on weekend! We have a little competition for acrobatics on the field. For beginners and pros :)

    Well done video. The 1.1 will handle more flap area without getting squirrely, provided they are extended slowly at reduced airpseed. Pitch up is typical and mixing in some down elevator keeps this under control. When adding flaps, I extend a straight edge along the aileron hinge line to the fuselage, cut the flap away and attach (at the bottom) with three Dubro, flat hinges. Guessing this gives maybe 25 percent more flap area and echoes the set up on the full sized aircraft. My angles are 20/40 and I find they work quite well. Yes, the plane will pitch down on take off, so lift off at a slower airspeed. Afterall, the whole idea of take off flaps is to get in the air sooner. Don't go to full power with full flaps on take off. You'll end up zipping across the field with your nosewheel buried in the grass and the mains in the air. Try landing power off (with or without flaps), contolling speed with the elevator and altitude with throttle. You will get some truly heinous rates of descent with 40 flaps and need to be accurate when rounding out to the flare, but you'll never have to worry about running out of space when landing. Just my two cents. I have a couple of modified Trojans and a few more to go. They are great airplanes right out of the box but they do lend themselves to all sorts of interesting and practical improvements. Again, great job on your presentation and keep up the good work.

      @Rookie RC Model Aviation the nice part about full span flaps( like the real deal) is that you can always reduce flap settings of you have too much. If you need more than what you currently have set up you have to mod again. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Of course this particular plane has real light wing loading so I don't think it's would be a problem but of course I run mine on 2200 mah 4s and added scale strut covers and doors( no retracts), bigger wheels and lights.

Have to say though, I had to turn the sound off. Just couldn't listen to that endlessly repetitious, and (to me anyway), irritating music bed. Good video, it’s kinda late, but you could have extended the flap to the aileron, which would give you a little more surface for lift and drag. I fly the 1.2 T-28 and 1.5 AT, I personally like nose up when the flaps are fully down. I like a glide slope of nose down, then I release the pressure off the stick and she’ll naturally flair before touch down then pull back on the stick to bleed off the lap bit of speed, makes it look like the real thing in my opinion. Keep up the good flying.

      Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been able to make it work again, I've tried everything, now the motors won't even start. the original problem was that motors 1 & 3 were turning at half the speed of 2 & 4. Now it's just a hangar Queen . Thanks for the comment.

    Nice video! Just maidened mine a few days ago, such a relaxing plane on 3s, didn't get to try 4s yet but it looks fast.

      The best part using a 4S battery is that you have the choice of flying it nice and scale if you want, but having the option of punching it to get out of trouble when you need it. Thanks for the comment.

    Pull the elevator to hold the back of the plane down at the first few meters.

    If there is any wind I never use flaps, only on landings to slow it down. Also my take off flaps are less down then yours BTW nice paint job, I painted my fuselage black, and the tail red, but did something wrong, fuselage paint is flaking, now it looks terrible

      Thanks, I'll try that next time. I did increase the aileron throws to see if I can get a better roll rate. I only used electrical tape on the fuselage to give it some color, Paint usually don't last on plastic. Thank you for the comment.

    It is the same that happend to me, 2 crashes on maiden. First one straight into the ground, and tor off the rudder, put in nylon hinges, second launch, rudder off again. I discoverd that the giro I was useing was actually giving down elevator on takeoff. Now I start without giro, just AS3X This glider is not very durable. on a landing it got hit by a sudden cross wind and flipt over, tor all the control hinges and pulled the tail off, has been all repaired again I have the smaller 2000mm asw 17 from Volantex, a way beter glider in my experience BTW nice flying ✈ ✈

    These little planes are hard to see on video can you try flying lower and closer since you can't zoom in.

    The receiver you mention is out of stock. Will the $8.00 Orange 4 channel receiver work?

    • @rookie_rc
      @rookie_rc 2 роки тому

      Yes, just make sure is not the mini or nano. the one you mention won't work. try this vittoriadream.com/product/orangerx-r615x-dsm2-dsmx-compatible-6ch-2-4ghz-receiver-w-cppm/ if you have a Spektrum transmitter, the link above would work. Here is another option: www.horizonhobby.com/product/ar410-dsmx-4-channel-sport-receiver/SPMAR410.html
