I would try them on first if I were you. I half size down 37 1/2 instead of 38 (size 8)

Thank you for your comment. I’ve only been using it since June. So far the leather has not loosened up yet. I can also wear it on my shoulder easily but I am also only 5’2. The bag is very light and such a great size.
