Christine moved to Japan in 2016 and decided to create a small channel with vlogs and other random things about my life in Tokyo to capture moments that would otherwise be forgotten or simply kept to herself.

i climbed mt fuji during the covid pandemic
In August 2021 I hiked to the top of Mount Fuji with my husband and his friend.
🌼 Tips 🌼
Do your research beforehand regarding what you should prepare, wear and/or take with you during your hike.
You can do the round trip from the summit back to the 5th station in a day if you start early in the morning, but we opted to stay at a mountain lodge at the 8th station and recommence climbing at midnight so we could catch the sunrise. If you plan to rest/sleep at one of the lodges, definitely make a booking for it ahead of time.
Wear proper hiking shoes and not casual sneakers, otherwise your shoes will be ruined and you'll have an unpleasant time climbing down due to the rocks and dust that will likely get into your shoes.
If you're climbing at night you will need a headlight!
Be prepared for the super chilly temperatures at the top. You will 100% need thermals and a down jacket (or anything to keep you warm), especially if you plan to catch the sunrise.

Hi! Yes the strap is at its shortest in the video :) if you need it shortened further, you might need to go to a cobbler and get the holes added.

I was mulling between the Grace regular vs small because I wasn't sure if the latter would fit much, but your video certainly proved me wrong! The small fits a surprising amount of daily items for its size. It also seems better suited, proportionally, for a petite person (which I am). Thanks very much for this visual representation!
I would buy the small one too. For this design the regular one looks less elegant somehow.
How is the bag now one year after you purchased it? How is the quality?
Quality is great, especially at the price point. It’s become my everyday bag when I don’t have too much to carry. It’s versatile as both an everyday bag and special occasion bag so I’ve been bringing it with me when I travel too. I’ve been using it way more than I expected I would! It’s does scratch easily due to the soft leather though. Quite a few scratches on the front of the bag :(
Is it heavy comparing with Celine bag? Celine is super heavy 😢
I’ve never tried the Celine so I can’t compare but I haven’t found it to be heavy :)

The last time my team and I visited Yufuin was last year when that BIG Typhoon hit and it ruined our filming plans! Thank you for sharing your insight in Yufuin. We're planning to go there again to shoot in Autumn this year BEFORE inbound travel resumes so we're always on the look out for good content and places we haven't yet visited. You're amazing!

I have some scratches on both the metal closure and leather area around the closure. It's been the bag I grab for most and I'm surprised at how much I'm using it (so not too worried about the scratches since it means it's getting good use)!

I ordered an M for the skirt. It's a bit loose on me, but is fine after I tie the ribbon/string.

I have an iPhone 8. An iPhone X or 12 will definitely fit, but I think a Pro Max will be too big and will need to go in the main compartment.
How is the bag holding up? Any scratches?
Bag is holding up well and tends to be the one I reach for when I go out (I've taken to wearing it crossbody nowadays). I've made one scratch near the gold hardware when opening/closing it which is visible when viewing it close up :( I would recommend being a bit careful and making sure you don't have any chips or sharp edges on your nails to avoid what I did.

How comfortable is this to wear? Many reviewers say the Celine box's strap is quite uncomfy. Plus the Grace comes in calfskin in some colours. That must feel amazing.
It doesn't feel uncomfortable when I wear it on my shoulder, but it helps that I can't fit too much in it to weigh it down. I can imagine that depending on what your shoulders are like, it might slide down a lot and be uncomfortable to wear in that respect!
