Somehow we were in a lot of agreement on the album but had vastly different scores.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 that’s true
Great win. They really dominated this game.
This was a very important game for them, BIG WIN!
Hopefully, they can improve after getting rid of their inept coach. Go mets!
It warms my heart seeing Kate being represented here. 😌
@@BryersMusicShowcase I’m happy I was able to discover it because of our series we did
You beat Bryer’s 74%
This would probably make it on my top 10 least favorite albums.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 yeah ik this isn’t an album you like at all lol
Another close game.
I haven’t gotten around to this one yet.
Darn. Now I have to hear about how the Vikings are better than the Chiefs.
Hopefully the Mets keep on winning
@@MN-ug1bh me too
Time fire the coach if they had kicked a field goal in the second quarter instead of going for it on fourth and two they could’ve gone for a tie
@@MN-ug1bh yeah that was a terrible decision on the coach
Ok, you're skipping "Directors Cut" even thiough the tracks are reworking of the originals and in the case of "The Sensual World" it has been completely changed, since the James Joyce estate gave Kate the permission to use the text from Ulysses directly, so its now called "Flower Of The Mountain". It would have been interesting to find out if you prefer the originals or the reworked versions.
Yeah, for this series, we're only covering the album with all new material. I've never understood why Director's Cut is consider part of her main discography to some honestly. I consider it more a bonus release.
Good win. Too bad the Royals couldn’t do the same.
Yeah sucks to see the Royals lose to the Yankees
I didn’t realize you liked this album enough to make your top 100.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 it barley made the list, the highs on the album are really good
As someone who loves figuring out the concept of albums, the story is pretty much just there’s an alien rock star… Not much story, but the songs are amazing. This was the first Bowie album I ever heard. 10/10. (Edit) Suffragette City is my favorite song here. Wham, bam, thank you ma’am.
@@SoundlabStudios63 that’s a great song choice! For me I will always have to go with Starman
@@Townshend90125 that’s my second favorite
Good the Mets move on.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 HECK YEAH!
So do you have to win the next game to keep on going?
yeah it's a best of 3 series if the mets lose they get knocked out
Good first game for the Mets. I heard the Royals won as well.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 yeah the Mets look promising for sure, as for the royals I didn’t watch the game but I heard they have a good shot at going far
I haven’t heard that song in a while. Very old school.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 1963 the song was released, over 60 years ago which is nuts
Not much scoring in this game. Tough loss for the Jets. Broncos are a team that they should beat. Close game.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 yeah hopefully they can beat the Vikings next week, I see the chiefs are now 4-0 now you must be happy about that
@@Townshend90125 yes very happy
All good with Jason! I wrote something but it was mostly not to torture him. There’s some people that don’t click with Kate and that’s alright. Cheers!
This is definitely Kate's most personal album. In her personal life, she was going through a rough patch, and this album is a reflection of what was happening. In relation to "You're The One" is such a sad song, and the lyrics reflect how she felt, which is amplified by the desperation in her vocal performance. The crazy thing was that Del Palmer (R.I.P), her long-term partner that she broke up with, continued to work with Kate as her sound engineer and assistant on this and her subsequent albums. He must have had mixed feelings when he was working with Kate on this their break-up track.
The Hollies are starting to get good with this one.
Both fantastic albums. 9.5 for On the Border and 10 for One of These Nights.
Another great album. Never My Love might be one of the most talked about songs on your channel.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 that’s very true lol
Just a quick question, has your journey through Kate Bush come to an end? As I haven't seen any new material for a while now...
@@leslieturner8276 hello, I’m very sorry you haven’t seen a new video on her in a while. To answer your question no the series in not quite over yet. The next Kate bush video will be Saturday
Jimi Hendrix has got nothing on this “foxy lady” 😂🦊
@@BryersMusicShowcase you got that correct 😄
They are on a roll. Man the Patriots look bad.
Yeah I'll admit that was a bad game for New England lol
Great album discussion. I really hope more people listen to this album.
Good win. This should hopefully be a morale booster after last week.
I'm a huge Queen fan from the beginning, the 1st 3 albums being my favorites. I want to hear the remixes, but having double & triple dipped over the years, I'm afraid a purchase is out. Not crazy about the title change, either. It's cool they did this, but far from necessary IMO.
I need to listen to more Foreigner. I also want to check out some Donovan.
It was a tough game but I think the 49ers are just really good.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 the way I look at it the chiefs were close to losing to them so I wasn’t expecting the jets to have a walk in the park lol
It must be tough to be a jets fan. I do feel your pain as a raiders fan of over 50 years! I don’t think the Jets played that badly San Francisco’s just a way better team.
Another great year of music. Good discussion.
Two 10/10 albums. Who Are You might come out on top but it would be close.
I’ll have to check this album out
I really hope more people listen to this album.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 me too, so much great pop songs that get no attention
Hi Nick 👋. You are obsessed with David Bowie. I like his album Aladdin Sane. It is from 1973. Did you know the title is a pun on A Lad Insane? The song Gene Genie was played a lot on the radio when I was just 24 years young. I would recommend his album The Morning After from 2013. If you like David Bowie, have you heard of T Rex? They have an album called electric warrior that’s like David Bowie. It’s on UA-cam. Best Regards, David Jones
I actually quite enjoyed this album. The rock riffs were great. Changes was my favorite song. Who knew Black Sabbath could do ballads. I also really like Superknaught.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 I was shocked you liked this album. Changes is an awesome ballad and Supernaught has an amazing drum solo and great guitar riff
58:47 Brian Jones is all over this album... He plays so many instruments... Mellotron, saxophone, vibraphone, theremin, Jew's harp and flute, organ, electric dulcimer, recorder, and harp
@@tylerjsmithers8385 thanks for the info
I have come to really love this album! I think it is a very enjoyable album with a great psychedelic sound! I also despise the album title, but the music is awesome! In Another Land and Sing This All Together (See What Happens) are still songs I don't really like... Fun Fact: John Paul Jones was only 21 years old when he made the orchestral arrangements for She's a Rainbow! I give this album a 9/10 Top 5: 1. 2000 Light Years From Home 2. Citadel 3. She's A Rainbow 4. Lantern 5. 2000 Man Honorable Mentions: Sing This All Together Gomper On With The Show Dishonorable Mentions: In Another Land Sing This All Together (See What Happens)
@@tylerjsmithers8385 I’m glad you gave this album a chance and now like it
I really like the four UK Aftermath tracks! Long Long While and What To Do weren't released internationally until 1972's More Hot Rocks compilation album...
There's actually 3 originals... Now I've Got A Witness and Little By Little along with Tell Me... Those two songs are credited to Nanker Phelge, which is a pseudonym, giving writing credit to all 5 members and Andrew Oldham... Nanker Phelge appears up until December's Children.
Regarding the title song, it’s even more controversial when you realize the woman is pregnant from her brother. The siblings had a loving relationship but the woman decides to take her own life because she can not live with the shame she has to put up with. I personally love this song, not only because of the story that Kate tells but also because of her piano playing. The song ends mid-sentence just as abruptly as the woman’s life. A brilliant song. But my all time favorite song is ‘The Man With The Child In His Eyes’. Just beyond words.
I agree with Jason that Winchester Cathedral is awful. The goofy singing is what kills it.
This is probably my 3rd or 4th favorite Stones album now. Keep on going, guys!
