@willeton 😍😉🫠🫶 it is the old police station is also now a private Residence aswell the old church ⛪️ in the same street of the old police station. Also another old church ⛪️ also private residence. Close to the Rodeo grounds it is. A book 📖 was made by the locals of Grong Grong NSW about the history of Grong Grong NSW
👌🫶 Thankyou beautiful Town of Gunning brings me back memories back in 1997 had to stop by at servo as my car was overheating. Young fella working at the servo gave me a hand still remember how he looks good old memories. Was driving from Sydney to Grong Grong NSW 😍

Another town that suffered from the bypass. Called in a few times over the years. Bigger than you think as most of it is away from both the old and new highway. Thanks
I have driven past Tumblong on the hume freeway dozens of times by now. I assumed it was merely an old pub and abandoned petrol station. imagine my surprise when I came across a pictureseque village with a community centre, park, church and well kept cemetery. Really enjoyed exploring the place.
Another familiar spot that I have been to many times. A shame they have stopped people walking down to the dam. I remember a *long* time ago, you could actually walk over the spillway! Most things are locked up these days! Thanks,
It was a last minute decision to film the dam, I was on my way to do Gunning actually. I was surprised and a little disappointed to find there is no real access to the dam. There is a resort type place where you have to pay $15 to enter. I wasnt prepared to do that, so instead drove down to where the original dam builders houses are located. Stunning scenery I must say.

Yes, the photos were taken several years ago, during the bushfires. Didnt do my lungs any good thats for sure, tasted fire for days! I intend on returning in the next few weeks and doing a proper walking tour, these photos were originally for personal use, not social media, I decided to share them anyway. Yes I noticed a lot of vacant lots and almost every shop was closed or abandoned. Sad to say that it is quite common. Have come across many abandoned properties on my travels.
