There would be a very simple solution: traffic lights that can only drive in one direction and reduce the length of the bus and truck to a maximum of 8 m. It takes time, but it is certainly faster and there is less risk of accidents.

Southbound seven-car single deck departing Rockdale at the end. The train was common for that time on this line but not the number of carriages.

This would have been much better without the noise of a printing press breaking in from time to time. It added nothing to the video.

1:29 The White Bay Hotel has been closed since 1987. The beer garden was probably a good spot for photographing what was once a working harbour at risk of looking like a dunce with a step ladder. There was no pedestrian bridge over Victoria Road in those days.

My father used to drive for Chapman's Bus Service back in the 60s and 70s. My brothers and I (not yet started school) would get to ride the Double Decker Service to BHP every weekend for the change in shift. I recall other bus companies like Schofields and Belvedere Motors also being in that BHP Bus Park. I think Belvedere, Schofields and Kings (formerly Chapmans) all had depots in Mereweather next to each other.

I so want to go to the next Busfest if the coaches are going to be present.

All those Westbus coloured buses i remember riding on numerous times especially MO 7423 in my school days catching The old Route 831 From Cabramatta to Bonnyrigg via John Street. Even the Turbo-charged Mk I B10M's that had a sign in the drivers cab that it's engine remain idling for about 5 minutes before shutting down.

Fantastic job Greg! Great seeing a Custom Citaro running under its own power again, even if slightly off putting without roof tanks and a slight diesel 'chug' coming out of the rear. Awesome turnout with interesting lumps of metal on showcase. Can't wait for next year. Keep up the good work!

This has nothing to do with whether you are a "good" bus driver or not, because the flow of traffic depends not only on the bus driver but also on other drivers who clearly have no traffic culture! If these drivers had traffic culture like in Scandinavia, for example, such unnecessary and stupid situations would not even occur! Who are the "better" drivers, those who create such situations and then have to get out of them, or drivers who think ahead, drive responsibly, anticipate situations and avoid them by driving moderately? I come from a neighboring country of Italy that has the same traffic (un)culture as Italy, and I lived in Scandinavia for many years so I am very familiar with both sides, so believe me when I tell you that this has nothing to do with how good or bad bus drivers are, but with the primitivism of people in general!

Back in the days when it wasn't an issue to have a 45 class leading your train. AFULE hounded the railway over the 45 class for petty things yet they worried little over the junkbox 80 class.
