The Viz dub version of this scene is much funnier. It's funny how James' design and voice from Pokémon was inspired by Tiger's Eye. The latter remained true for the English dub of Pokémon. It is official, the Viz dub of Sailor Moon is the best dub of Sailor Moon.

this is one of my favorite SMSS episodes, although I skip most of the fillers the villains ending arc has very compelling writing, in the manga these characters don't even have a personality, they just showed up and died in one act no more

in the manga and the Eternal film, the Amazon Trio have much shorter screen time they are animals turned into humans by the Amazoness Quartet and given the job of taking down the Sailor Scouts Sailor Mercury was tricked into purchasing Fish Eye, who was in fish form, from a pet store and nearly drowned in her nightmares before awakening her super sailor scout powers and defeating Fish Eye Tiger Eye trapped Sailor Mars in a hall of mirrors, but she awakened her super sailor scout powers with help from Phobos and Deimos (who are actually aliens from the Planet Koronis that can disguise themselves as crows or take on miniature humanoid forms) and defeats Tiger Eye Hawk Eye approaches Sailor Jupiter and traps her with a cursed ring, but she breaks free and awakens her super sailor scout powers to take him down

In my opinion i always felt that varian was not pure evil but he was broken because of his dad getting trapped in the amber so i was so happy when he redeemed himself in season 3

I wasn't expecting th ending really. 😂
