If I am going to pay more than 50%, then my women need to cater to me. I don't see the benefit. I can wash some dishes, cook, and clean; that's no big deal, and it doesn't take all day to do as they will say. I don't have kids, so I don't need you to look after them. Women can do it when they are single. Why do we have to take all the burden?

My partner makes me feel like shit. We moved in together recently. I paid the security deposit and first month’s rent. We promised we would pay half bills, half rent. I’ve ended up paying for literally everything. He’s constantly asking me for money. His “half” of the rent was an old $500 visa gift card he found from MY drawer. He’s only paid $84 out of his pockets.

What if one of us has a second job because there is a big debt to pay and is working a second shift to pay towards that debt. So therefore he/she is making more than the other. So in that case she/or he should still end up covering more of the rent/ bills as well???

The problem is though, if you as a woman start living with a man on 50/50 agreement as a "start" kind of thing, do not expect him to change this agreement favoring you later on. Most men do not change 50/50 to something else. They get comfortable with paying only their share and that's it. And women on the other hand, will with time fall in love more and grow attachment to this man which will become a reason not to leave him and agree to continue 50/50 with him. Most women hate 50/50 relationship. I haven't met even one that would feel otherwise about it.

50/50 is not for married couple. Men are built physically to work hard, women are for nurturing and caring. Also women hormones changes every month, she's more stressed and emotionally challenging for her, which is not the same for men.

I don't have a vehicle at all. So why would he even ask me for it. Him and his cousin live together he can ask him. I don't know him well enough at all it's been a month since we been together. If y'all know yourselves, and you know you both aren't traditional or want to adhere to traditional gender roles, be modern w the relationship via splitting bills and house duties, which tbh can be an ethical means to going about things. Now, in saying all that...umm, yea, most women don't give a shit about rationals or ethics when their emotions are involved. Ima say something controversial: back then woman literally had no rights therefore not much options than to marry to stop being a “burden” to her parents bc thanks to “those feminists” now a days she can be anything she wants doctor lawyer CEO have her own car her own house treat herself etc but they STILL CHOOSE to be a stay at home girlfriend/wife bc they are lazy or they want a man to solve all their problems like their dad used to do for them I heard plenty of females say they rather be cooking and cleaning and changing diapers all day than to be working NOT in construction or heavy jobs but your regular 9-5 desk job like those jobs are NOT that hard and they don’t want to stress about bills car payments and mortgage they just want their boyfriend/husband to deal with ALL the responsibility HOW IS THAT FAIR? For me that is like being selfish bc if they do work they want to keep all their money and not chip in a dime while they go get their nails/hair done and go on shopping sprees but the husband NEVER gets to see or enjoy his hard earned money I thought a relationship/marriage was supposed to be mutual (unless of course one of the 2 willingly wants to pay for everything and have all the financial burden) being 100 financial co dependent is such a risk I heard horrible stories where after the honeymoon phase husbands start to humiliate and abuse their power bc he’s the one paying everything so therefore she doesn’t have a say is that what y’all ladies want ? Now the most successful marriages I’ve seen (only 4) is bc they BOTH worked hard and they even got to retire early bc they were a team that’s why most females don’t like 50-50 bc it would stop benefiting them I said what I said PS I AM A FEMALE 😐

The dudes that buy into this whole “men need to provide for everything” is such a lazy/useless women’s scam. They will say, oh yeah it’s such a “flex” when men pay for everything for their housewife”. They milk up the compliments and say “oh yeah I have a great man” to milk the simp and play into their invalidation/ego. It never works that way. She might love it (and show it) after the first few months or year but after that it’s like a welfare recipient. Less effort, more want and higher standards. This whole BS about “oh you’re not a man if the woman has to pay half” is like the modern feminist movement on steroids of the right. Women can work and keep all their money, but the man still needs to cover all the expenditures. “But my parents or grandparents did it!Ok boomer…rent/mortgages are skyrocketing 5x over wages in comparison to your parents/grandparents. Women are now the highest acceptance in colleges and there are diversity quotas in corporate now to hire women over men even if they aren’t as qualified. But yet the men still have to carry that load while the woman lays at home all day using up the electricity and collecting Doritos dust on her PJ’s. GTFOH

My girlfriend earns 3x times my salary... we do a 50/50 splits because it's fair, but it drains me financially, and I end up living cheque to cheque trying to keeping up. If i was earning more as a man, it would've been easier to take care of her & things, but in reality she earns more. So it would feel weird to ask her as woman to handle little more things. I wonder how couples in my situation handle things

Gender stereotypes are very ingrained since we grow up, It's not our fault how we were raised but after adulthood, you can decide to change the mindset or not... you are both ''man'' huMAN. You got this dude :)

Express this to her and see what she says. If you plan on being married you're going to have to learn how to have hard conversations. To avoid resentment over time please talk to her. If she loves you she would hate to know you're in anguish about this.

The key question is do you have children. If you are out trying to match her income now your child might get neglected. If you working a regular 60 hours then you add 20 more you stacking lot but what about your family life? Here is another solution. You pay based on a percentage but the man pays the largest and most critical bills. I've seen several couples do this and it has worked.

I don't understand why some men (fortunately not all of them ) want to be 50 50 with their wives??? As i know a man that truly loves his woman will feel happy to provide for her

This kind of relationships makes me feel like i'm with a roomate not with a husband The man is the provider financially The woman makes a house home ,give him kids ,breastfeed them ,clean the house cook ..... But this kind of 50 50 mindset will not work for long term because the woman is as provider as the man and with time she'll lose respect towards him(facts) The woman shouldn't feel that she has to work ,she shouldn't have that financial burden (if it's like this then she doesn't need a man in her life) A woman needs a provider protector, a man she can count on that makes her stay in her feminine energy and makes her relaxed to give him her best in everything and for the kids also

Why should men provide more. Many women that are married dont cook or clean so why should men take the extra responsibility?

@@AminaMina-bx3ze maybe this will only work if the woman doesn't have children from her previous marriage. If she does and they are not his there is nothing wrong for the woman to step up and provide for the household as well unless he agrees with her to handle the finances differently.

This is definitely food for thought for couples who decide to go down the 50/50 route - what will happen when you have children and your wife is on maternity, what happens if you decide as a couple for your wife to be a stay at home mum, what happens if one of you ends up on long term sick and there's only one source of income. Before making a decision that will impact you longe term as a Couple, it's important to thing about any effects that decision may have down the line.

I've paid for his drivers licence and some other stuff so he could get a better job. Tried starting a business for him so he can get out of my pocket. However it never stops. Every single month there is something. I can't even get to my own things and he just cannot step up. Im just so tired and ive decided to let go. I've blocked him on whats app and calls ive also moved away however he is always threatening to leave his job and forcefully coming to where i am. 😢😢

This is a ehh soso ordeal 😅 for me speaking but I literally did this in relationships and the guys always needed my support or help and when I needed help they still needed help with their situations and money so I always had to work for my own self. The commutation make me feel like I am giving up my power for people to use me. How can I set a boundary for me in a relationship with this issu
