Thanks for sharing, I have 2024 MT07 with 550 miles and you helped me. Would you please tell me what was at 16:04?
Hey no problem, I love putting these videos out to help people. I forgot to caption or voice over at 16:04, but that is the air filter check hose that I am inspecting. Thanks for watching!
drop the music
dont like it, go watch another one.
Question, do you need the RTV?
Is their no need to gap the spark plug .?
If you really want to be technical I suppose you could gap it but I drove it in there and fired it right up been running strong ever since. Zero issues with ignition.
Great video! Appreciate the tips on taking the center console out, I did it in my ram but i have a bucket seat so it was easier to take the radio dash off.
What about the fronts? I want to upgrade to the club series but why only the back why not the front too.
I did the fronts speakers before posting this video.
Why are these not removable they put them all over the paneling
Same thing happened to me , WTF .Going to cost me $550 , in 3/4 ton Ram . Should be standard.
It really should. If it comes with a tow package, the dealer should just toss in the trailer brake controller. Criminal.
best thing i EVER did for my 2003 Ranger was put in the aluminum Thermostat housing!
A lot of videos show having to remove a lot of remove to get to the spark plugs and such. Did you not have to do that?
Not really for this vehicle. Everything seemed to be surprisingly accessible.
Nice job
thank you!
Zipties make it 100x easier
I have a question. I drive a Nissan Titan and I'm replacing the thermostat housing and what's connected to it as well. Thermostat made of aluminum and the water outlet made of metal. How to you connect them together?
I just bought some club 9632's
Love the new intro.
Thanks buddy! Glad to hear!
Where did you get the right colour to repaint the auger?
I bought a can from amazon. The paint is Rust-Oleum 269292 "Maui Blue" hope this helps!
Don't you just love that Harbor Freight work light?
Iwantfreestuff
On the mount, I just shifted it just a bit to offset the mounting holes, locked it down with vice grips, drilled out a couple new mounting holes, ran a couple sheet metal screws with a dab of loctite right through the front of the bracket. Super solid and it only took about 5-10 min
$38!!?!!? Not $138? My thermostat housing cost $60 for a cheap plastic one. The aluminum one cost $183 form the local auto parts store.
Got it from Rock Auto. Check em out!
I am walking outside to install this metal housing right now. RockAuto $56ish bucks (dual sensor for a 2003 ranger). Wish me luck.
@@upnorthvids have you had any problems with the aluminum one? I’m replacing mine soon on my 4.0 and I’m going to upgrade to the aluminum one
@@Dmccraw1998 I checked it frequently over the course of a few thousand miles with no leaks but have since sold the vehicle.
Does it sound better and louder?
What do you think about the before and after?
Go buy yourself a couple of 10-24 x 3/4" long bolts with nylocks. Drill out the holes in the mounting bracket to accommodate the bolts. It's much easier to hold a nut on the back side and tighten the bolt from the front. Throw their mounting screws in the trash.
Good tip! Much appreciated.
Hope to see the air bag videos you must have read my mind with these upgrades
Hi there, I'm just wondering whether this resolved the issue long term? I've read on forums that it can end up being a common fault in the head.
In this situation, it did fix the issue at hand. Ignition coil was at fault. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for getting back to me. Much appreciated 😊
I had weak coolant % , burst my plastic thermo housing at the lower seam 2 Mondays ago, when it's warmer I'll replace it ; is there a gasket that sits on the block , or just that flat o ring? I have a V6 4.0L sohc ranger, single sensor , haven't settled on what brand of housing to buy. & Does the sensor need dielectric grease applied ? A shop here quoted $540 to do it, I determined that I can , ( as long as it's not struggling in cold weather , numb fingers, fragile brittle gaskets, o ring )
oh you can do it buddy save yourself that $540. I believe that all there is for a gasket is that o ring. I applied some high temp rtv as a way to mitigate any type of future leaks but I dont think it is needed. You can throw some dielectric grease in that sensor if you want, although I never have. They come apart pretty easy. Thanks for watching.
@@upnorthvids cool, thanks for the advice; I was considering having a shop donor because I didn't want to try to replace it in a cold carport, make a mistake, but it's warmer now, I can get at it . Looking at prices for a metal housing vs. a plastic one .
First thing is to drain the radiator! Keep coolant off of serpentine belt!
oh for sure. next time!
Not trying to tell you how to do your job but try draining some coolant from the radiator first this will make it way less messy
oh for sure. Thanks for the tip.
@@upnorthvids anytime buddy. Pretty solid content BTW. I did use this to work on my own vehicle just went the less messy route lol
@@martinmendez2028 🤔 when I tried to take the thermostat housing out it started gushing antifreeze out sounded like it was emptying out from the engine so I got scared and put it back as fast as I could. 🤦🏽♂️😂 Did I do something wrong or is that what’s to be expected. 🤷🏽♂️
Wait, I missed the part where you fill up the oil!
7 quarts even! 🤠
Good video..... excellent camera work.
thanks 👍 still learning video editing and such
If my trailer buttons went bad, you think I have to take that big panel around the screen off? Or could I replace the gain buttons without removing all that?
I would reccomend taking the whole panel off and replace the trailer gain control switch. It is about $20-$40 for the part depending on where you source it from.
Hi do you like the windshield after a year? I'm looking at getting the same one but don't know if I like it folding down onto the hood or just get a regular non folding windshield but of course it would be nice to get some air in when it's hot too.
The windshield is still in great shape! The fold is option is nice for really hot days. If I were to buy another one, I would get the super ATV windshield that folds up and locks in place.
@@upnorthvids Yeah I seen that Super atv one but I guess it leaks at the top when it rains. People were putting gasket material up there to stop it but You shouldn't have to do that when you pay $500-600 for it to begin with.
I have a 2019 Wolverine x2 SE that came with the roof. I have similar mounting brackets for the light bar. However, I have about a 1/2 space between the mount and the inside of the roof. Did you put a 1/2 piece of rubber in the gap? Also, did the light bar come with the top rubber mounts? Finally, how is the light bar holding up?
The light bar did come with the brackets and rubber mount, but I purchased that years ago from amazon. I just put a piece of rubber between the mount and underside of the roof. Light bar is holding up well! No leaks and still works like day one.
@@upnorthvids Thanks for the quick reply. Enjoyed the video.
@@chipstork9430 Glad you enjoyed it.
I started the screws by hand and then used mini vice grips to grab the tip of the screw and turn the screws from the outside.
I just about did the same thing..
Same
Nice video what are you using to seal the holes on the roof of your side by side thank you
I just use RTV gasket maker. Seems to work quite well.
@@upnorthvids thank you buddy
Upborthvids do they sound flawless is there alot of bass? Or distortions as well
It sounds really clear. Keep in mind that I am only powering the speakers with the stock uconnect radio display. I think if I were to add an amp, they would crank. Bass is good though.
Does your truck have the Alpine system?
Is there more bass then the stock? And do you need adaptors for the front tweeters on the dash?
@@curtishalverson3600 It does not. The outdoorsman comes with the stock set up. I think the Laramie has the alpine system.
@@Ashtongonchar There seems to be more bass than stock, however, I think if I hooked up an amp then I could really bring out the bass. I do not believe that I have tweeters.
How did you know which cylinder was #4? I need a diagram and I cant find one. Thanks
right bank is 1,3,5 and left bank is 2,4,6. Google "jeep 3.6l firing order" hope this helps and thanks for watching
I drive a right hand drive 2016 jeep wrangler sport unlimited. Which side is #4 if I'm.standing in front of the jeep facing the engine?.
Same as this one.
Thanks!
Good info. Need to do these myself this week. Mine are making noise, afraid wheel will fall off. Regarding torque specs, any source for them? Second axle bolt, you torque that with vehicle on the ground or are you just rechecking the torque? Thanks
Is the aluminum mount does it come with the light bar or u get that Separate?
I just had the mounts laying around but you can get them pretty cheap on amazon.
Just FYI, You shouldn't need a cotter pin. The clamp itself as a dimple on the side of the latch arm where the clamp half locks into the arm when in the folded position.
I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip!
I’ve got the same windshield. It was installed by The dealer. I didn’t know about the cotter pins holding the clamps closed when not in use. Getting ready to change my oil , filter , and diff fluids. Coming up on 20 hrs real soon. My Yamaha dealer will do my full 1st service this coming Spring. Looking forward to doing some trail riding once it warms up.
nice good to hear! im coming up on the 20 hr fluid service as well. I just use the cotter pins to hold the clamps because I couldn't find a way to keep them closed without winding them back in.
Thanks! The ignition wire was stumping me until I saw your video.
Happy to help. Thanks for watching!
