The 23,500 lb step deck ramps and pyramids. Where can I find a video of the load testing done on these. There must have been some documentation somewhere where these were tested to the point of failure. I know all of these are coming out of China and each individual company is just slapping their name brand on it. I have three different brands here at the house and they are absolutely identical to one another. Yet I can't find a single video anywhere showing any sort of load testing done. Which makes me kind of skeptical that they just slapped it together and guessed at what it could handle.

You should really test load these ramps. The weld quality is crap. It looks like a poor attempt at MIG to save time. The issue is that the weldments contribute directly to structural strength for an assembly that cannot fail under a load specification (10,000 US Pounds per axel, meaning 5000 US Pounds per ramp). As such the weld quality must be at a high level for weld penetration, consistency and completeness (There should be test to determine weld depth, and inspected by a weld specialist). For me this means the aluminum weldment should be done by a very experienced TIG weld technician. Also, the ramp design is very strange. To be used in the wet, there should be no crevices and the rectangular tubing used should be completely sealed against water intrusion. The finished ramps should be submerged in a water bath tank to a level of at least 3 feet, to make sure they are completely sealed against water intrusion. The top cross members crevices should have complete welds to prevent any water intrusion, if not this could lead to crevice corrosion. Another issue is the type of aluminum alloy and its temper that is used in the product should be provided. Especially, the extrusion used to attach the front lip to the trailer.

I can see these being useful for where I live, it's an uphill to the main road, just use them to get up on top then take them off and continue on driving, I wouldn't use these for normal driving.

Absolutely no mention of chain length advantages.

Watching a couple videos on these and my only concern is not noticing if they came off the tire and got wrapped around the axle/control arms, I think I would only use them to get "unstuck" not for miles at a time.
