Hey so sis, inform me please! I’ve been looking into the black girl via collection. Typically because I need to be back on my self care shit. I remember taking vias when I was a little girl up until teenage years..then I fell off. But, how is it? How have those impacted your health? There’s so many different kinds, and I just don’t know anymore. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤#needhelp

"School has weaponized reading" 🙄 Man this generation and some people in general love playing victim and using any excuse to justify their ignorance. Saying you don't read because school 'weaponized' is insane. And let's be honest, you didn't read because you were lazy and had other stuff you wanted to do.

Many people were MADE to read, which can take the fun out of it. It does not mean they lack education or the ability to read.

Black people need to stop including the color of their skin as part of their description for doing anything. The odds are that black people are not the only ones that do that. Listen to the way everyone else talks nobody includes the color of their skin or their race as to why they do 99.9 percent of the things they do.

Well Chima, don't believe US stats when it comes to how many blacks are in the country. Note that Africans and Caribbeans are not counted with the 14%. The count is for black Americans only. Note that there is nothing on the census for Caribs or Africans. There's only black or African American. A lot of foreigners do not consider themselves as black so they check other. So there is no count for about 4 million black immigrants. Even you are not counted unless you check black, because you are not African American. African Americans are US slave descendants only. You are Nigerian American. I can appreciate your mother, because there are lots of African nurses in the US who are nasty af

Honestly i love these moments. These are people that are curious about something that's a norm to you. This is a learning moment for others, including etiquette. What i do for my hair is a mystery for those that don't have curls. Not a mirco-agression. Maybe a bit ignorant, not none the less, i choose to not be a victim and embrace the curveballs life has to offer. In every opportunity, respond in grace. Taking moments where others may feel offended and turning it into a teachable moment is a far better investment to my environment than calling HR and making my work environment suck.

Maybe they were just interested in her hair cuz it's not something they see everyday. I'm sure they were asking if they could touch it and how you take care of it. That doesn't mean that there's malicious intent, you're making an assumption that their curiosity is malicious.
