I don't care what anybody say.. Jackson is technical and sound good. But the 2 songs that just could not get out of my head from this whole Game was That "Can't get over you" and Toni Braxton song.. Those were the 2 best songs of the night imo. That "Can't get over you sounded" euphorically good.. It completely took me out of the battle and put me in a moment of Nostalgia. And imo, that is, or should be 1 of the goals of a band, to have that effect of it's spectators.

Plenty of opinions from you guys. Just a bunch of JSU fanboys making comments. How many band programs have you guys lead? A 2 year band program( MVSU) vs an established program(at least 10 years JSU). Putting on a close battle.

in 2022 Southern mellos was Mia that whole season. the only time they came out was for that Championship classic against Jackson. I don't know what happened. if they got their butts whipped, punished, threatened or what, but something happened where them boys was playing like their lives depended on it. it was the 1st time of that yr i was kinda proud of them.

@1:23:15 the song Southern played..What pisses me off is when B-tones blend with the band, people started talking about them because they're soo used to hearing B-tones on top of the and unbalanced band. The B-tones in my opinion did what they were suppose to do. They wasn't over blowing and drowning out the rest of the sections. They played as a Band, as a unit, opposed to trying to make it all about themselves and drowning out the other section. They sacrificed their ego for the quality and balance of the band as a whole. and imo that should be commended.

I said Valley should have asked St. Aug could they borrow their "I got the power".

Can someone from the panel or anyone answer this question ? If two bands are battling and one has complex arrangements but are not executing those arrangements versus a band whose arrangement are not as complex but are executing the songs , who gets the win? Do we give points based off complexity even if it’s not executed or do we go with execution and sound ? This is legit .. we need the same criteria across the board
