Join me in transforming your typical house into a smart home using Apple Home. I am going show you how to build a smart home on a budget that people can afford, here we will be trying new products that will work with Apple Home. I will also be showing you how to use Siri as a short cut once your device is installed, setup and ready to use.

Thanks for your video. Can I use with Aqara S2 smart lock? Right now, I only have a password and my fingerprint, and it would be very convenient to have a NFC key to give to family, friends... since this model does not allow remote password changes.

Oh and the MZ1 is a great little hub that does a lot. It will work with so many more zigbee devices than just their own. cough cough #aqara. Ikea's new motion and door sensors that are only $10 for example. I love it for Sonoffs new mmWave Occupancy Sensor the SNZB-06P. Because its Matter, you can pair the bridge to Apple Home, and Home Assistant, and Google, and Amazon, and... to get logging info. #Matter

"works" with Matter over thread seems to be an over exaggeration. Mine almost never works.
I have a couple matter over thread devices that will not work myself. So I just said forget about them.
@@Rem-Tech-Smarthome over all the MOT devices I have, everything released so far I can find, work reliably but for this tuo button. Which I had to change the battery again and reset a few times to wake up and re-pair. Using an Apple fabric with ATV4k2 and homepod mini. Thread's only downside is you have to pair each device individually to each ecosystem. I have Apple, Amazon, Google, Hubitat, and Home Assistant. You have to treat MOT (Matter over Thread) just like its older sibling, Zigbee. Onvis makes a smart plug thats great to place in every room as repeaters.
The MZ1 bridge also works with Sengled's Door window sensors.

@@Rem-Tech-Smarthome Everything works great on the bridge. I try almost every new zigbee device I buy with it. Like Sonoffs ZB06P human presence sensor. It works great on the MZ1. My only complaint is that the Hub and the App almost never responds to each other if you need to check or add something.

@JSternDesigns I did think of that. But my kids say they have to use the bathroom every time they hear that. So now the door is closed when they come in. I guess I won’t that little battle

Great video, your instructions are clear and easy to follow. I bought my Aqara NFC tag separately and have no problem with the connection however my U100 will not lock again automatically after use as it does with all other entry methods. Any suggestions?
First off thank you very much for watching my video. I would check your setting in the app. I have read that a couple of people where saying the samething about that. Unfortunately I don't have my lock automatically lock. Are you talking about remote locking??? Or are you talking about auto locking????
Great video. THANKS. I have the same problem of losing NFC card with my son. I gave him a retractable key chain badge holder with steel cable and and he hasn't lost it yet. 😀

can this nfc card link with A100 door lock?
Yes it will work with the A100 door lock. The A100 supports nfc tags and you shouldn’t have any problem using it at all thank you for your question.

Thank you Eric. I have been using it over 3 months now and haven't had a problem with the WiFi at all.
I’ve removed and reset the lock multiple times and when it comes to the pairing process, it NEVER recognizes that it’s near the reader. Complete junk. I wish there was a way to reset the tag because it worked for one month and then stopped.
I would return it and get a new one. I just had that happen to me last week. Something happened to it when it was being delivered. All I did was return it and got a new one. The new one works great 👍
That's cool... You're right, anything that can lower that electric bill is a must have!

Thank you for watching my video. I did notice when I was testing it out. The motion sensor didn’t work that well for me at all. It didn’t see me there for more than a minute or two. Hopefully they fix it soon
That is a very cool night light! I love how you showed us how to set it up to turn on and off at specific times. I do have a silly question though… I’m really new to all this Apple Home stuff. Can you tell me what a Matter Code is?
Thank you very much for watching the video. To answer your question. Matter is the new stander platform for smart home devices. What that means is you are able to bring a Google or Alexia or Apple Home into any platform. So if you’re using Apple Home and your significant other is using Google Home. You will be able to have it in both platforms at the same time. Thank you again for watching the video
Have you been able to setup your phone’s NFC to work for the door? It’s not working for me and not sure why.
Mine works fine and haven't had any problems with it. Do you have all the firmware updates done for the lock????

Yes they’re compatible with all twinkly products. Unfortunately you can’t connect anything else to them. There is no other way to hook up another strand of light to them.
Looks pretty sweet. I bet Madision loves them! I wish they worked with Apple Home too. Maybe one day!

Yeah theres a few theories floating around online. Try rebooting the device youre trying to use to add it to homekit. After its finished rebooting make sure to update the firmware to latest. Also try scanning the QR code on the light strip
I have tried resetting it and adding it into HomeKit. I even tried putting in the code manually to see if I can get it in there. Turned off my 5g and still nothing. Thank you for your comment.
15 amps is like 225x 8 watt lights. I cant imagine anyone plugging in anything to a smart plug that would exceed 15 amps. Not to mention ALL bedroom, hallway and living room circuits are on 15 amp breakers. If you exceed 15 amps the breaker will trip. The only circuits in your home that run at 20 amps are the kitchen, bathroom, and dinning room outlets. Unless you want to be able to remotely turn on your blender thats not really a concern. Even if you did any appliance with the exception of a microwave wouldnt exceed 15 amps.
