Great bull, as I get older (75) I am so thankful I am still able to walk around God's creation. It is not so much about bringing home the bacon, its all about the journey. Most people do not realize how hard hunting can be, as you so skillfully showed. God Bless

Thank you for sharing your hunt. I've hunted the Elk City unit and there are elk, and wolves. Although I wasn't successful, you are right, the time spent in those mountains is very special and an amazing experience. Your bull is a monarch! He looks to be a 370 class 6X7! Wow!

I am so sick of these out-of-staters and want to be UA-cam stars that are over exploiting what hunting is at its core. Hunting is not even hunting anymore. There is no fair Chase to the game. I am 5 generation from the heart of the Rocky Mountains and it makes me sick to see what has become of hunting. I grew up eating elk and mule deer meat so that we could survive. All these wannabe dorks who are more often than not from the East Coast or out-of-state hunting Idaho Wyoming and Montana in hopes of sharing a video and over exploiting a place. Most of these guys pay a guy heavy guide fees and then they pay for all of the high-tech long-range to snipe an animal that has no clue. People want to hunt because it's primitive. Most of these guys sitting in their concrete jungles want to try to get out and be something special. They need to make hunting back into primitive weapons like bows and muzzleloaders. A lot of our big game animals out here in Idahohave been decimated by hunters and wolves. I have all but given up my hunting hopes and I hunt for meat. All because of the crap shoot that it has become with these guys that want to be UA-cam stars and over exploit everywhere they go. Stay in your own zone. Period. Go handsome high fences in Texas or somewhere where you can shoot a farm raised "trophy 🏆"😢

Beautiful elk man but I love the mindset most of all, i spent two weeks in idaho this September and went home empty handed for the first time in the last five years but honestly left with more appreciation than ever before, learning more every year it’s more about the opportunity and time in the country than about the kill, congrats man and thanks for your down to earth honest message!

I gave it a shot this archery season and even though I came across a lot of fresh signs and heard the occasional cow… I didn’t see SHIET 😢 oh well, rifle season is on now and muzzleloader in the winter. Hoping to get my 1st elk (ideally a bull) soon… tons of game cam footage, just haven’t been there at the right time. But the Idaho backcountry is no joke.
