There is a retention clip on the bottom of the headlight assembly, with 5 slot pegs that insert into a bracket riveted to the bumper cover. You can see the bracket at 3:34. To remove the assembly, a long thin flat head screw driver can be used across the bottom of the assembly to push the pegs back through the slot while pushing the assembly backwards out of the cover

What a great design eh? I was able to do both sides on a 2015, without pulling the headlamp assembly out on either side. You need small hands and sufficient grip strength to get into the narrow gaps behind these headlamp assemblies, no tool will work. Fortunate for me I was able to without going through any of this nonsense, it can be done.

I just replaced my belt last night, I was able to do it with a long hose pick & a 17 mm wrench. I used two wrenches locked together to loosen the tensioner, it was pretty stiff. Just make sure you write down how the belt is routed, I forgot to do that, & figuring out the routing was the longest part for me.

I figured it out over the weekend. But since it's been over a year I doubt it'll be of any interest today. The belt tensioner: There's a black, circular screw at the top of the tensioner that needs a spiked hexagonal bit to loosen. Loosen it about half an inch or so. This screw will act as a pivot for your serpentine belt tool. Set the serpentine belt tool to about a 15% angle (usually a serpentine belt tool will come in two pieces, one short, one long with a some attachments you can add to. Ignore the attachments as you just need the two metal bar pieces to hook together.) With the short piece pointing down into the engine, wedge it between the screw you loosened and the welded bottom piece and push up and the tensioner will give. If you need a better explanation, then just reply to this and I'll try to do a better job. The main point is the spiked hexagon screw will act as a pivot for you if you loosen it about an half inch out.
