I've been listening to your show for nearly 7 years and I believe this is one of my top 5 favorite episodes!! I love your Q&A and I equally adored Julia. I appreciate how the conversation showed the complexities of the business evolution that flowed over 2 decades. You both have warm, lively, & endearing personalities that made me grab a glass of Prosecco and laugh with you both while being inspired. As a career/life coach, I know women need these transparent, loving, "keep it real," and inspiring conversations. I live in Houston so I will definitely look up Julia's events and projects. Thanks Nicaila! Well done!!!! 👏🏾💛

I see AfroUnicorn every time I walk past the party aisle at Walmart and my little cousin has some of the merch. I’ve always loved the characters, but now my admiration & appreciation for this company is deeper. April is a tenacious trailblazer and I’m in awe of how she built Afro Unicorn from the ground up. She’s brought so much life, self-love, creativity, and magic to our little black girls and that’s needed! 👑 Thank you for this platform Nicaila and for your knowledge, wisdom, and advice April. One day I’ll be here to share my story and in retail spaces too💕 I pray the greatest success for Afro Unicorn & Side Hustle Pro. Keep rising sisters 🙏🏽🩷

Wow! I’ve listened to Side Hustle Pro for at least 6 years. This is the first time I listened to an episode 5 times. I started on a journey to reconstruct a year ago. The business was no longer fulfilling and I sensed God was taking it in a new direction. It was scary but exciting. Scary because the change was not bringing immediate revenue. Thanks for the enlightening perspective of how you are still valuable while reconstructing, even if the bank account is not overflowing. So many voiced their negative opinions. It’s refreshing to hear you speak positive about reconstructing. Thanks!
