This is in Heavenly Tahoe. Unfortunately I didn't have anyone to record me riding so I only have footage of the gondola ride. I now have red goggles and a red snowboard for a little added authenticity.

I changed the thumbnail, added intro and end screens, an animated trail map of my route, music and color graded the hell out of it. I also reduced frame rate to 30fps because 60fps looks pixelated and sometimes stalls on slower connections. These mods took me several hours. Was it worth all that time and effort? Johnson 115 - Troubleshooting Fuel Delivery - Part 1
Your saying that there is no adjusting for idle
No, I'm not saying that.
How to adjust theiderling
There are multiple ways to adjust the idle. Each carb has an adjustment that should be synced. And the linkage can also be adjusted.
How awesome is that 😮
I sold mine everything is plastic if you have a Yamaha the carb parts are all aluminum couple linkages are plastic I was suprised that omc didn’t want to spend money on carb parts
Better than getting pulled over by a 5.0
Found this on my YT feed, and was curious what a Pup Cup was. Super cute ☺️
Wow, Mike made someone's feed? That's amazing! Thank you!!
Mika seem chill and loving it, best food reviewer ever
I Love the idea of Mika being a food reviewer. Maybe she needs her own channel?
@@DC-et4li she need to review all the pup cup in the city
I wish I had a banana split…
My guilty pleasure. Especially from this particular ice cream truck. My mom used to get banana splits without ice cream. She used get the most puzzled looks when she ordered.
do you know how to adjust the idle on these motors? I have looked everywhere online, and I cannot find anything on it. My motor will run just fine with it in gear forward or reverse, but whenever I start it I have to push the key in to keep the motor running until I throw it in gear.
That definitely sound like ti's running lean. Each carb has an idle screw to adjust the air/fuel mixture individually. But be careful doing it that was because all of the carbs need to be synchronized to run well. The throttle cable can also be adjusted which in will increase/decrease the fuel to all carbs at the same time. But doing this will not fix a lean issue, so you may need to do both. The jets may also need to be cleaned. When's the last time the carbs were serviced?
what's in a pup-cup? is it ice cream
This one came from an ice cream truck who make all of his own flavors. He only serves ice cream with heavy cream content so it's more firm. I think soft-serve ice cream is a better choice for pups. The cup also had two milk bones.
Most pup cups I know of are made mostly or entirely of whipped cream.
@@korayven9255 She would love that. She's never really had sweet treats.
I think Mika liked it
She absolutely LOVED IT! I feel bad that it took me so long to give her this treat. But now, as a senior dog, she will get it regularly.
@@DC-et4li at least she can have plenty into her retirement c:
@@Just.Arguing Absolutely! She's lived her whole life by a fairly rigid set of rules. I decided to relax them when she entered her senior years. But she's so well trained, that it's hard to convince her it's now okay to do things that used to not be allowed. Last summer I took her on a beach vacation and booked a room with two queens so she could have her own bed. But she's never been allowed on furniture. And I could not convince her that it's okay now. No matter how hard I tried to get her to jump up on the bed she wouldn't do it. She would put one paw up, then with all the encouragement I could muster, she would put up second paw. Then she'd back away and look at me like I was trying to trick her or something.
What a cutie 😻
Thank you! My 2nd wife's cat was named Boots and I called him Boots the Cat! How wild is that?
How big is that little kicker motor?
40HP pushing a 22' Center Console! 😆 ua-cam.com/video/HyS3ZF7uqJg/v-deo.html
Was that on 12v or 24v.?
It was 12/24 switchable set to 24 for the video.
Often the plastic fuel fittings develop cracks and will leak fuel and/or suck air in.
True. That wasn't the problem in this case.
Watch your language, please!
The video is not made for children. You can scold your kids when they use language you don't approve of... not me.
Change the relays
Relays were not the problem. I clearly demonstrate that in the video.
Still good info. Thank you for taking the time.
Thank you!
I have to replace the elbow fuel outlet in mine…searching all over youtube on a way to access that part without doing something I shouldn’t or damaging it
Have you checked crowleymarine or boats.net?
Just an rt challenger in cop swag
Did you squeeze the fuel bulb till it got hard?
Of course. By the time we got to this point we were way past that.
Hi mate ,have you found your problem? If not try to replace thé small blue fitting on thé bottom of your engine ,i had exactly thé same thing on mine and that was this blue thing blocked😉
Why the foul language !?
Hi mate were the same problem, where did you buy that part, thanks
Cheers! Which part are you referring too?
I honestly don't understand why everyone on this video is being so hateful lol, the skiing community is not supposed to be like this. I think that the only way for you to get better is by pushing yourself, and you did here so props to you i am sure it made you a much better snowboarder.
Thanks man! I appreciate your kind words of encouragement. I've come a long way since that video. I have quite a few double blacks posted now where I do considerably better. Here is my first time in Mott Canyon at Heavenly... ua-cam.com/video/5GENqAuxvGc/v-deo.html I've since done all of the runs in Mott and Killebrew and charge them as best I can.
I got twin J175's it only took me 2 days of heating it and beating it, to get both the top and bottom pins out. The top one is easy compared to the bottom one. My engines are both 2002 and have been run in salt water...
I hear ya brother. And thanks for the comment. The hardest pin I ever removed was on an 84 Yamaha 150 that was run exclusively in the salt water. If I never have to remove another retaining pin in my life it will be too soon. But if I do, I'm going to try to pull it out instead of push it out. The physics of pulling instead of pushing dictates it should be easier. I'm not sure why I didn't thing of this before I drove three of them out by pushing.
I like this boat. But..... a "C Dory 22" is better and much more available. Look it up. It won't disappoint.
LOVE the C Dorry! I spotted one being trailered to the same lake where I found the Nomad. I was able to snap the picture. drive.google.com/file/d/1Nv6IK2itm1r6V-JjlqKXabNWtuMew4Pq/view?usp=sharing
Mine just stopped working the other day... haven't had a chance to get into it yet. I didn't realize that there was a fuse there... that will be where I start. Thanks.
Best of luck my friend. Let me know how it goes.
@DC-et4li well the ride home fixed it...🤬 Went out today when I got in, turned the power on and the trim worked... it's either the motor or the wiring.
like that app... you can see how steep it is... the vertical in such a short distance... she's a good rider, huh ?!
Your explanation of the primer was off a little bit… the primer gets its fuel from the “ vapor chamber” then when the primer is activated by the key the fuel is sent through small diameter hoses in the back that you can’t see to the carbs… what your doing when you turn the red valve is switching from the key activator to the manual prime when you squeeze the primer bulb… I think your main problem is dirty carburetors or a bad fuel pump….
Thanks. Your explanation is better than mine was that's for sure. I've learned a lot since then. But for a really thorough explanation, check out Danger Marine... ua-cam.com/video/BrBj2p4A8xQ/v-deo.htmlsi=6n4yhGHv7wexMnAo BTW: It wasn't dirty carbs or a bad fuel pump. The problem was warped carbs. OMC's plastic carbs are prone to warping. My hack was using a heat gun to true up the mating surfaces and then using some gasket sealer to help fill in any gaps.
You should never run your engines without the airbox, your pistons will end up damaged !
If run them for test only, they gonna be perfectly fine…
There is some truth to that when it comes to lawn equipment, dirt bikes and even road vehicles because they operate in a dirty environment. But it's just not true of outboard motors that operate in a clean environment. Outboards don't even use air filters. They are designed to suck in air totally unfiltered.
sailing my engine does not exceed 3300rpm... Help me
It could be a lot of things. Sounds like a fuel flow obstruction or vapor in the line.
Could also be a mismatched prop. More information is needed to make an educated guess.
How do u eliminate that particular VRO with the vapor canister.
I haven't made a video about that yet. But there are some good ones on UA-cam. Check out Brandons Garage or Danger Marine channels.
My 2004 Johnson 90 HP 2 stroke always had start /idle issues. Even hard start issues after running. The main culprit was the VRO assembly. It's crap and not needed. I removed the entire VRO assembly and installed a Johnson fuel pump and kept the primer assembly. Problems solved, no stalling at idle, runs great WOT, and starts right up every time. In my opinion, the vapor assembly develops air leaks, and makes it difficult to keep the fuel going in. The primer always went soft too. I now pre mix oil right in my tank 50:1 mix and problem solved. The plastic in that vro warps. It's a bad design. Get rid of it. It's not needed. My motor runs better now than when it was new. It's 19 yrs old.
What pump did you use? Where did you purchase? TY

Hi. I am having the same issues. Can you recommend your replacement?
Hey! Please tell me what fuel pump you got! My 2000 Johnson does not have VRO, but I believe the pump is still the pump for VRO as it has wires for the low oil indicator. I want to replace the pump, but can't figure out which one I need.
Did you get to the bottom of it yet I'm having fuel problems
Yes. There were multiple vacuum leaks largely due to warped plastic components. I found gaps between the mating surfaces of the bowls and carburetor housing and in the fuel pump components. I was able to use a heat gun to remove most of the gaps. But two of the bowls had to be replaced because they were beyond repair. ua-cam.com/video/3uUujMjEaLU/v-deo.html If you have plastic components in your fuel delivery system, check for gaps in the mating surfaces. You can also find vacuum leaks by spraying starting fluid on the outside of the fuel delivery components, lines and fittings while it's running. If you hear it rev up when you spray, look for a leak in that area.
Having same issue on my 96 evinrude 90, did you figure this out? About to rebuild carb and replace the same gaskets you pointed out as well

@@DC-et4li I ordered a carb rebuild kit and the vapor gasket, and prime solenoid gasket. Gonna do all that and see if it leaks when I squeeze the primer ball. Right now it’s leaking fuel like crazy from top of that vapor mixture tank thing. And hose connections at bottom of the VRO
@@BracedKILL Sounds like you got a plan. Best of luck!
Plastic Carbys, the bowls can warp. Replace the bowl and gaskets. Did you end up finding the drama? Lol, I just watched your next video. 1 point to me 😂 Side note. Regarding cooling system behavior I need help from someone with a similar engine. I have a 2005 115 - mostly identical Cylinders are immaculate. I have all new OEM water pump, springs thermostats etc. Since forever, it gets hot at idle, and as soon as you increase throttle, you can see the temp drop and hold at approx 85 degrees C. Is it a feature of these engines to run hotter at idle to prevent spark plug fowling or something? If you still have this, does/did yours do the same? If I put a very small hole in the thermostat I can get them to regulate at 85 all day long. But why!? I want this to operate like OEM intended. But no one can tell me if it’s supposed to get hot (110 degrees C head temps at idle before thermostats finally open at low rpm).
The best money can buy 👌

Thanks for watching Scott. Here's the rest of the series... The final solution was to fix the warped part of the fuel system; I used a heat gun to reshape the plastic so the mating surfaces fit together without any gaps. I also added additional gaskets and sealant to eliminate the vacuum leak.
OK, well it looks like the starboard engine is only turning up around 2000RPM, unless the tach is wrong.
Thanks for watching and commenting. The starboard tach was bad.
