Yea TQL charged me that money, they say that the burden of proof is on the carrier. Even though it clearly had forklift damage and the load was covered at pick up and deliver. Receiver removed the plastic wrap after they unloaded my flatbed and noted the damage on my BOL. I guess my only option is to go to court but i rather not work with TQL anymore than waste my time.

They should have the amount of money the shipper paid for the load to be shipped!!! UPS, USPS, FEDEX all these shipper documents how much they pay. Why not a brokerage. So the carrier knows he or she is being compensated properly.

My home load in the 90's was Melons as they came off the ships at the Tampa Port, sometimes a heavy load of Tropicana juice or heavy banana's and other than that I ran empty to Atlanta to get a better paying load as it was a flip of the coin sometimes.
