dude what! how? well done
Legendary! Take notes!
Where did you get these isolated tracks?
Great concept for video
Uh, I knew. I mean there is literally a pianist in thd music video.....😂😂
That is so cool! I LOVE this song! Probably, the beautifully layered instrumentation is a big reason why.
i feel like donald fagen improved the piano riff a lot, it sounds a lot cleaner and more characteristic (((in my opinion)))
I'll really respect DF for being upfront about what happened there, however I will always be surprised they did this whilst knowing just how similar the two songs were.
What pedal are you using for the bass?
Everybody steals from everybody else. Enough with the "intellectual property" lawsuits already.
I too have a Korg microKEY. I swear these are built like a tank!
Borrowed the intro, sure. But the rest is pure fagen magic, I say.
Nobody has Larnell's language...NOBODY.
me surpreendeu! muito foda!!
GREAT groove
Amazing!
SD didn't even change the key! Very flagrant ripoff.
" Chunking " is what it's called and I'm going to learn it
Seems pretty self-destructive for a jazz musician to sue someone for quoting their music.
Sure shot begs otherwise

@@lepercolony8214 If you don't know you should find out and look at how Sure Shot and the subsequent lawsuits affected the development of musical culture in the 1990s.
Bruce: “Wait for the click for crying’ out loud!” 😂
I've had the fortune of seeing this performed live 3x, and every time was absolutely magical
What pedal is used in the bass line?
Bass chords are the bomb
Clearly influenced by Jarrett, and he deserves the credit. But I'd also point out that the SD version takes the original idea and develops it to perfection. Jarrett should play SD's version as a tribute to how much they improved his original idea.
I like your take on this...
Jarrett presented some fresh ideas in his tune Steely Dan made a great song out of them
Horace Silver was owed some credit for Riki ! Even more so !
Amazing drummer..fenomenal bassist. They keep timing like rock. No matter what drummer plays. The bass player keeps playing his ostinato. Very, but very good rythem section performance, bravo. The bass, and piano unuson are super pocket killing!
Whoa 😳 love it
Anyway both are amazing arists
Wow thanks for this. I was just listening to the Jarrett track and thinking, wow, this sounds exactly like Goucho. Had to look it up and low and behold!
Why at 2:24 does it sound like the bass was holding back a laugh?
not the first time Fagen has lifted another tune, and not the first time they had to give co-writing credit.
Beautiful touch❤
He is on such an incredible level of musicianship, it's uncanny.
Piano riff is basically the same, but that's all. Tempest in a teapot.
oh man...Keith Jarrett should be honored that somebody like Donald Fagen admired his Song - 2 Geniuses should'nt come to a law suit point. Gaucho is my favorite and a improved version of Jarretts Song.would be interesting how Jarrett would interpretive Glamour Profession. (-:
THE SAX
Tore that pedal a new B Hole. Busting that Move
oh great
Like a 5 course meal for the ears 🙏

What a terrible video.
Very cool
Similar but not in the league of plagiarism. Gaucho is a much much better piece of music.
Wow thanks
Dope video
Phenomenal playing... Thanks for posting it.
