A Rendition of Summer Breeze (Seals and Croft) on just Bass

Fooling around with some pedals and bass lines of a solo bass rendition of Seals and Crofts "Summer Breeze" on a hot summer day. By no means is it practiced, I was just fooling around, haha. Original written by Seals and Croft 1972. All rights to the Copyright holder (usage is merely fair use).

Musician Intrigued with "You're No Good" by Linda Ronstadt

This song has always been a favorite of mine since I was a wee lad. I love the way the guitar playing sounds and the chords. Especially love the guitar solo, possibly done by Andrew Gold. Please forgive me for the jumps and syncing it was difficult since the original audio was flagged against copyright infringement even though I claim MY RIGHTS TO USE IT UNDER FAIR USAGE. I jumped between the s...
Musician Fascinated With Steely Dan's Josie
Переглядів 1214 місяці тому
Since wanting more styles in my "most archaic playing" I've been listening to some pop jazz and jazz chords to add to my sound. I've known Steely Dan most of my life but never sat down to try to figure it out since it is light years ahead of my ability. However, something like Josie intrigued me. So I give a little background into my intrigue. Don Breithaupt noted that it incorporates "exotic o...

Sounds like Geezer Butler ❤
@@sniffableandirresistble maybe if I was playing closer to the neck. But thanks.
Super nice
Sounds good!
I love Linda since 1967.
Love it. 😊
Linda couldn't write songs
Andrew Gold was also the singer and possibly the writer of "Thank you for being a friend" The Golden Girls theme song. He was also Marni Nixon's son, she dubbed lead voices for singing in Sound of Music and West Side Story.
And as I mentioned Lonely Boy. Yeah he’s more versatile than given credit to.
and I believe he's also the drummer on the track.
Linda's guitarist was Waddy Watell!
Yes but I think Andrew Gold did the solos. At least that’s what he said. And he does the live version (that I used) as well.
They both played with Linda. I don't think Waddy has started with Linda yet when You're No Good was recorded.
"You're No Good" by the Screamin' Bluejeans was one of the first records I ever bought in the 1960s.
I could listen to this song all day. Linda Ronstadt's singing is SO good. I really love her voice.
Good lord that was boring and pointless.
Why?
Thank you for thinking enough to comment at my expense of expressing my appreciation for the song.
Linda complained that the breakdown and solo sounded too much like the Beatles.
Haha. I heard she had issues with the tempo and such. She didn’t want to do it. Look what it became.
A great band performance. Those guitars, those synth strings, that outro, and Linda sings it like her life depended on it.
Everything in it has highlights

Volume is quite low, but that was cool as well
