Great battle and a lovely fish. I went for a walk around there last week. I will certainly be returning with some rods.
@@JaseTheOptimisticFisherman it’s worth a look, easy fishing, can be hit or miss but the inner dock has loads of micro species and the outer wall has the chance of some decent fish, thanks for watching and tight lines 😊🎣👍🏻
What nets that buddy
@@lloydbyrne3440 I had different nets on both days, fox rage street fighter net and savage gear folding net, Thanks for watching 🎣👍🏻
My sister used to live in Saundersfoot 20+ years ago (there was a small abandoned chapel a few hundred yards up a hilly path..?), a beautiful little place, visited not long after the oil spill so no fishing for me!
@@davefave4351 it is a beautiful place, thanks for watching Dave 😊🎣👍🏻
Nice little film, and I like the rig lowdown. Next time ditch the treble and go barbless single. They’re easier to catch and release. I’ll be surprised if that fish survived, blood pouring out???
Down there next week, going to give this a go, thanks for the vid! 👍
Just moved to llangattock on the canal it’s very muddy looking at the moment what kind of lure would you recommend and where would you recommend I start having an explore
Your fishing in the wrong place I grew up in Amroth 🤔
You might as well have taken that fish home to eat because you just tired it out for the seal 🤣 nice fish though and well played
Who controls this stretch please?
Not quite sure but you can get a day ticket from the wharf itself
Thanks pal
Great stuff 🤘
Hi great video, quick question off topic what waders are you wearing with trainers?
I'm wearing stocking foot waders (which are like waders with a sock/ rather than a boot built into the waders) and wading boots which you wear over the wading socks. Thanks for watching Brian, tight lines 🎣👍🏻
Cracking bass, fair play 👍
That was what I call an excellent piece of fishing several times I thought it would have broken free as you were reeling it in that was a lovely sized bass which put up one hell of a scrap a beautiful fish well done to you and to the passers by for their assistance
I know they were very kind in helping out. Thanks so much for watching, appreciate the kind comments 🎣👍🏻
Great video really helpful how far is this area from the town centre I don't know where all these boats are moared . Many thanks
Goytre wharf, it should be on google maps, thanks for watching 🎣👍🏻
Thanks for the video. Never managed to catch anything on the Surf Seeker lures so do they work best on a straight retrieve or to add some twitches ? Tight lines
Thanks for watching. On that particular beach it's a straight steady retrieve as it is snaggy as hell. If I'm fishing over a cleaner bottom I mix it up, pausing and twitching, speeding up and slowing down. Do you have some seeker's to try, if so good luck and let me know how you get on, Thanks again for watching, Tight lines 🎣👍🏻
Some nice Pike there Matt. I’ve only had the odd Perch so far this year.
Thanks for watching, I know it can be very hit and miss at times,
Here in cornwall i catch alsorts on isp seekers . Best has to be the white pearl and the blue one by day . Black pearl by night is deadly in moonlight . Tight lines pal
Thanks for the advice I may try that's, Thanks for watching 🎣👍🏻
Is it best fishing at wisemans on the lure at low or higher water?
I usually have more luck at high, but I have had the odd fish at low too, Thanks for watching Dan, if you give it a go let me know how you get on, Tight lines dude 🎣👍🏻
Instant like for the music itself. Headbanging and fishing ? Fuck yea.
Thanks for watching dude 🤘🏻🎣🤘🏻
Your reel looks way overspooled do you get many wind knots ?
Thanks for watching. Not really had an issue with wind knots with heavier lines. I do however when I'm fishing UL lines micro jigging for gar,
@@fishingrocks4119
Got exact same seeker like you, and i never caught anything on it in croatia. I even contacted Markos Vidalis and asked him how to retrieve the lure, and he said that i should not even try. He said that he does not remembers if he ever caught seabass on the seeker or any spoon like lure. He also said that our mditerranean seabass is different than those of the northern seas
I feel there work better in rough or choppy conditions. They are usually a blank saver for me. If all else fails, stick on a seeker. Thanks for watching @jure
@@fishingrocks4119 I know they should work then, cuz they make lot of vibration wich helps seabass hear it and find it. Same like jerkbaits, twitching in wild sea, straight retrieve in calm sea. But it does not work here, i cant wait to snag it somewhere so it doesnt buggs me out anymore haha
Nice man well done I don't have much luck with the seekers in tenby I'll try more often 🤙🎣 my favourite lure on south beach is the savage gear pencil lemon back 🤘🤘🤘🏴🏴🏴🏴
Thanks for watching David, I have the opposite experience to you, not much luck on the SG pencils but since you said I may give them another go . The SG seeker's are my blank savers usually. TC and tight lines 🎣👍🏻
Well done matt
nice one matt tidy video brawd lure fishing rocks fair play do you fish the gower much ?
Hey Richard, thanks so much for watching. And yes I love lure fishing for bass in summer and autumn, the Gower Is an awesome place to wet a line, thanks again for supporting the channel 😊🎣👍🏻
Helpful video for myself. Just moved to the area and mad on fishing. Would love to get some advice on certain areas to have a chuck about with a lure etc.
Thanks for watching Tom. I’m not from that area so my knowledge is limited, but feel free to hit me up anytime and I’d be happy to hopefully point you in the right direction, tight lines 🎣👍🏻
Patch
Chuffed for you getting that one mate! In a beautiful part of the world too! 👌✌️
Saved the blank right at the end. Thanks for watching. How’s it going with you? Is the canal still unfishable with all the weed and algae?
@@fishingrocks4119 oh mate 😖 you'd be wasting your time there. I found out that torfaen council are responsible for its upkeep but its still neglected to this day. Recently had a baby boy so will be out when my partner has recovered. She going through a bit of a rough patch. Looking forward to your next video though!👍
@@laketrotterfishing that’s sad to hear, there’s some cracking fish in there, guess you have to look for some more venues, look forward to the upcoming content, tightlines dude
@@fishingrocks4119 cheers mate. Joined newport sor have a few new venues with bigger species to have a bash at. Take care ✌️
Great video subscribed first one I've seen 👍
Glad you enjoyed, thank you for watching, 🎣👍🏻
well done returning the fish
Thanks and appreciate you watching, tight lines 🎣👍🏻
Lovely fish mate
Thank you, it was a beauty, and thanks for watching 🎣👍🏻
So pleased you got one on your last cast....especially after telling us!!.....lovely part of the world and the fish was a nice bonus! 👍
The fisherman’s famous last cast, yep it saved the session, thanks for watching 🎣👍🏻
Did I meet you up shoreham port? You was LRF with bits of rag
No must have been my doppelgänger, I’ve never fished Shoreham. Thanks for watching Alex, tight lines 🎣👍🏻
Can be hard work around there but also very productive
It’s definitely a mixed bag and a roll of the dice, that’s what’s fishing all about tho, Thank you for watching 🎣👍🏻
Brilliant.
Thanks for watching 🎣👍🏻
Fabulous! Goes to show, a fish can come on the very last cast, don’t give up!
Your right, it’s not over til it’s over, thanks very much for watching 🎣👍🏻
nice vid mate love the music also :D
My first vid, my talking is terrible, but thanks for watching 🎣👍🏻
@@fishingrocks4119 i never no how to talk myself lol no worries
great video mate nice lil bass keep it up :)
Thanks for watching, been watching your vids, they’re great, likewise keep it up dude🎣👍🏻
@@fishingrocks4119 thank you mate :)
Nice, always good to see the Silver beauties. Just a question regarding the lure. Have you found it gets damaged very easily? Even fishing the surf on sandy beaches with no rocks it still gets chipped.
Thanks for watching Richard. Yes I’ve found they get banged up pretty easy. Still catch on them tho. I do re sharpen the hooks before I use them. They go blunt pretty easy
Really well done that was extremely difficult and couldve gone pear shaped so many times!well done holding onto the ladder and rod and net-and fair play for putting it back as theres plenty that wouldve smacked it on the head.!
It was a bit scary, I’ve bought a new net now with a 5.5 m handle, never fish without it. I like to return all my fish, not really a huge fish eater. Thanks so much for watching. Much appreciated 🎣👍🏻
Nice way to end the Session👍
I know I had given up at that point, Thanks very much for watching 🎣👍🏻
Was out on friday and had 3 just off Saundersfoot.Theres plenty about.Do you live down here then mate
Well done, wish I could have had 3 lol. No I don’t live there, although I’d love to. Do you live Saundersfoot? Thanks for watching anyway, much appreciated, tight lines 🎣👍🏻
You are in my favourite part of the world there on the Pembrokeshire coast. Saundersfoot and neighbouring Tenby are just magnificent. I live in Australia but have lots of family in South and West Wales.
It is a beautiful part of the world. Thanks so much for watching 🎣👍🏻
Nice pal, looks like a fun couple of days. Never fished the marina but always see a few fish swimming about on warmer days 👍
It is fun fishing there, hitting the marina again this weekend, You should give it a go sometime, let me know how you get on Thanks for watching Tight lines 🎣👍🏻
going there next week.good video.
Thanks for watching David, good luck, tight lines and let me know how you get on 🎣👍🏻
Is that a day ticket water?
Not a day ticket as far as I am aware. It’s a Glamorgan Anglers venue. I believe you need a membership
I fish there often very handy with toilets nearby 😂
Hi mate what location is this canal ?
Brecon canal, postcode where I park is MTAA Brecon canal middle 69 B4558, Brecon LD3 7UY You do need a Merthyr Tydfil Angling Association permit to fish that stretch Tightlines 🎣👍🏻
@@fishingrocks4119 many thanks 👍
Fer play you dun well to hold on to that ladder 🪜 and play that bass, good fish 🐟 to ,thay fight well,
Enyone know we're the big perch are on the brecon canal ? Thaks people
Hey Martin, thanks for watching, I wish I knew, I haven’t found them yet, just wasps, but I am happy to share when I find some🤞😀🎣
Nice one fella 👍
@@martinsnook9779 I usually fish around Goytre Wharf if that’s any help, but not had any big ones on that stretch, tightlines 🎣👍🏻
Yea I've just started jig fishing so all the tips are great the only problems I'm getting is a lots off snags in the canal so I'll be trying drop shot next time I think , I bin fly fishing most of my life and thought id try something new , great videos meany thanks 👍
@@martinsnook9779 try fishing weedless using a texas or cheb weight, it can dramatically reduce the amount of tackle lost, there are loads of vids on UA-cam showing how to fish this method 🎣👍🏻
Just found your channel! Great work mate 👍🏻
Thanks very much for watching, il check your channel out now 🎣👍🏻
