Great overview, thank you Francois, Robin, and others! One large and not that explored field could be spectra of asteroids. They are usually observed with very low spectral resolutions, almost "the lower the better".
Just a correction to what I said about the Quasars at 56:00. The redshifts are of course >4.3 as shown on the slide, not >7.3. I will leave 7.3 redshifts to the JWST !
You were too early in the morning for me to join in real time from Melbourne but I did enjoy and find the recording of the session very good. Thanks for arranging it and I hope you can get Alain Klotz to record his contribution at a later date, My own observatory has been 'remote operation ready' for many years but I have not, until recently, had a good internet link available. I am now taking steps to start remote (not automatic) observing but do have concerns about reliable operations. Unlike at the remote Chile sites if my setup fails I need to drive two hours to see what the problem is.
thanks for sharing good luck.,,
Great presentations. I've just finished building a Star'Ex and this has helped give me a list of ideas for my first observations. Thank-you.
Thanks so much for recording this - it is very helpful and has given me some great ideas. I have a working Sol'Ex that I've built and I purchased an Alpy 600 awhile ago (and your "Successfully Starting..." book). I've recently retired so I finally have some time to really get going with spectroscopy. Thanks again for all you are doing.
Great présentation, thank you François and Steve !!!
Hi there! Maybe in the future can you make any English video about ALPY 600? or at least release alternative slide show (English version)
