New Swarm, Second Inspection
It's been a month since the last time I checked up on this hive. Still no brood, larvae or eggs.
It is winter so they do tend to just carry on through the winter.
I will be adding a feeder next week to make sure they have enough food to get them through the winter.
Spotted a few psuedo scorpions. First I've seen them in any of my hives.

    How easy is it to clean your equipment? What amount of honey is lost from frame to bottle, if any? Are the bees used to clean up any equipment?

    • @beeinspiredza
      @beeinspiredza Рік тому

      Hi. There's not a lot of honey lost in the process. I do leave the equipment out for a day for the bees to clean up most of the honey. Cleaning is very easy as honey is soluble in water so I just hose down what little honey is left. .

      @@beeinspiredzaBees have moral . If you give them too much space too soon they can get disperited and even leave . They work better with slight but temporary overcrowding! After they have filled out most of their frames you can move the outside frames into the other frames if they have honey coming in! Good luck with your bees!
