Could you tell us what a typical day's meals looks like for you? Do you only eat one meal a day?
What about people in India who are mostly vegetarian and vegan?
They are suffering dearly for it. I believe Dr. Nadir Ali did a segment on this very subject. The people of Hong Kong on the other hand consume more red meat than most other populations and are incredibly healthy with a long life expectancy.
There is a lot of dang difference between lard/tallow vs crisco. From my research the lard/tallow actually has nutrients in it as well. If you ever start raising your own meat or eating venison and rabbit you see how precious that lard and tallow really is. I guess butter would be in that category as well. It wasnt that long ago people were eating beaver tails because of the fat content.
Been carnivore for one year and the very hardest part of it is seeing people you love with 70 to 100# extra fat and they think you are the crazy one. Bless you hope your channel grows.
So true and thank you!
Another good video you two.❤ Thank you for such straight forward information. Been off processed carbs and sugar for 10 weeks now and down 37 lbs. (70 more to go). More importantly is I feel so much better. All the pain and soreness in my body is near gone.
Aww thank you ♥️. That’s some great progress. Keep it up!
Great information Try wings in epic beef tallow
Great suggestion!Thank you!
Any books you would recommend about sleep?
Yes! “Why We Sleep” by Matthew Walker, PhD. This is probably the best book ever written on sleep.
@teresamealythw I've listened to him on a podcast. I've had his book on hold with the online library for about a month. A lot of people also want to read his book apparently.
Would there any harm to not even tell PCP about progesterone, testosterone when they want to know what meds we are on? I only go to urgent care when I have a need to, Teresa is only Dr I am set up with!
Love your tee shirt
Thank you!
I had a blood clot when I was on birth control, what do you recommend for those of us who can not take estrogen or any HRT?
Transdermal or cream estradiol is completely safe, no matter your history. The problem is providers confuse the study linking the synthetic estrogen, Premarin (pregnant horse pee) with actual estradiol. I put patients with history of blood clots and/or clotting disorders on cream, bio identical estradiol.
Omnivore here ❤I did carnivore and will never again ! It started out great but after a while I noticed the weight loss stopped and my A-1C was only going up more and more ! I stopped after 2 years and started eating fruit vegetables meat organic whole grains and my A-1C dropped to 4.6 consistently! Do not do carnivore ! Over time it will make you unhealthy! Many carnivores have left these echo chambers ! Eat real unprocessed foods that’s it stop the fear ! I reversed pre diabetes on omnivore not carnivore and my dad who was a 20 year diabetic on insulin reversed it all with real food omnivore diet not carnivore !
Thankful your video popped up on my phone. My cardiologist was against me staying on carnivore since I’ve had a blood clot in the lung and two TIAs in my right eye. LDL was 187 so of course I was put on Lipitor 40mg and Xarelto blood thinner. It’s been 3 months in Lipitor and my thighs seem weak, having harder time to walk up stairs. But I am wanting to do carnivore and after listening to both of you, think I need to try it.
I think it’s too late for me.
Never!
Just found you! Great content. Thank you! Yummy dinner…😋
Awesome! Thank you!
Can you imagine the impact on healthcare if everyone in America ate like this? I remember hearing in the presidential debates recently the importance of a $35 cap on insulin to help diabetics manage their diabetes by lowering cost. All they had to say was to stop eating processed foods and excess carbs we could get rid of diabetes without any meds.
So true!
Kennedy will go after the FDA and help with getting crap out of the food..Trump will put him in charge
Where do you get your T-shirts?
Usually at Mardels. They have a great selection.
I would’ve loved if my husband was still around, he was open-minded. That was 16 years ago.
I love how yall have so many different things at the same time!! We had lasagna. I used egg life wrap for the lasagna noodles. Then we did a salad. 🥗 used Olive oil n vinegar. I may not have enough fat in the meal idk. Trying to get the rest of my family on keto. Everything we have made they have loved it! Yeah I’m so disappointed in my healthcare provider right now. So I’m doing my best to fix our health with keto. 😢 Gotta get zombie apocalypse ready! 😉😂
Hi Teresa and Mark! I still watch your videos daily. Looking for suggestions on spiritual warfare, how to protect myself against spiritual attacks. I'd be so appreciative, thank you!
Pray!!🙏🏻 😊
Ya’ll have a butt ton of money.
You need to put some bacon on top of that pizza, Yum!
That’s a great idea!
Any suggestions for ringing in the ears? I’ve had it since I had COVID over a year ago.
Im sorry to hear that. I’ve heard of a few people complaining of this. I do not have any personal experience in treating my patients but I’ve heard that there is an app that you can download that utilizes some sort of frequency to help reduce or eliminate the tinnitus.
Thank you for doing what you do!! The information is wonderful!!! ❤
You are so welcome
So happy to find your UA-cam! I found you when we were planning to move to your city. Like most people these days, it's a struggle just to get by, but hopefully things will turn around and I'll be able to schedule a visit. God bless your work!
Thank you so much! Please let me know if I can help.
What about people who have only eaten a vegan diet from day one?
Unfortunately for most people who are eating the SAD (Standard American Diet) they are essentially eating mostly vegan or at least vegetarian. With the current state of health in the US I’d say it makes a great case to change course.
Lovely 🌹
Thanx🌝
Thank you for sharing
My pleasure
I know someone who is on ozempic. Its over 1000$ a month (i cant remember if thats just for her or for her and her husband). They've only lost 10lbs in like 3 months. My brain automatically starts figuring out what kind of meat i could eat for 250$ a week. Steaks all day? Lobster? I could get a fancy box of meat shipped to my house for that. I could probably eat meat patties out every day for that price. Thats just a lot of money.
Love your kitchen! I’m just starting my carnivore journey and UA-cam logarithm had me landing here.
That is awesome! Thank you!
Didn’t eat dinner, but for lunch I made kielbasa and sauerkraut. And air fried bacon. 😋 Thank u both for the videos. They are helping us a lot! 😊
That sounds great! You are very welcome!
What about heart disease, mostly arterial.
Yes high sugar and insulin contributes to cardiovascular disease.
Please tell me how i can get information about how i can get bio identical hormones, Thank You ❣️
You can try using the provider directory on Worldlinkmedical.com. If you don’t have any luck there shoot us a message and let us know what state you are in so we can try to help you out.
Hi! Yes! I had corned beef, eggs and bacon for dinner. Corned beef cooked in a crock pot Saturday….soooo good! Brisket is one of my favorite cuts of beef….
Sounds great! We love brisket too!
What about ozempic iv been prescribed that but refuse to take it.. yet !
Was that prescribed to you for diabetes?
@@teresamealythw yes T2
I don't have weight to lose sorry about my measurements but these are measurements we use in ireland..i'm 9 stone to 10stone 5ft6 but do have a bit of a belly which I put down to mid live spread and after having 3 sons who are now 28 25 19.. diabetes does not run in my family I just don't know anything about it
@@Jovonne73ok so my official answer is to do whatever your healthcare provider recommends. However if it was me I would rather address the underlying food addiction, lifestyle choices, food choices etc that address the issues rather than put a band aid on them. Also keep in mind that if you come off of the drug you will most likely put all of the weight back on and then some. Extreme dieting (ozwmpic driven) will cause you to lose muscle as well as fat. When you go off the drug and begin to eat again you will most likely put on fat but not regain the muscle. This in effect makes you less metabolically healthy and probably worse off than when you started. PS you’re physician will probably not agree🤷🤷♀️🤷♂️
@@teresamealythw I have so much distrust in my GP TBH
Ask anyone raising livestock how you fatten an animal up (as I dump in corn to the pig feeder, sweet feed to the steer, and pellets made of corn/wheat/soybeans to the chickens. Even the rabbit pellets have grains of sorts added to them). You want lean meat, give the animals grass. You want them fatty, give them "whole grain".
Yes and somehow those same foods aren’t supposed to make humans fat? Crazy.
Thank you again for great advice I love bread pasta being Italian but I am trying to eat a lot of keto breads tortillas and just eat smarter Do you eat veggies?
Hi! That’s great! We do eat some veggies but not a lot. Right now we have some fresh vegetables from one of our staff member garden and they are delicious. We also will eat sauerkraut, pickles, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli on occasion. In most cases we also add lots of fat like butter and protein like bacon and eggs to our vegetable concoctions.
Ughh I make my own Greek style yogurt.. I’ll need to check my glucose
This is my kind of “entertainment “ 😉 ❤and basically this genre of entertainment is the only one I listen to for “entertainment purposes 😅“
Thank you! ❤
When I turned 58 and I got chunky, I remember telling people when I was young when your legs start squishing together you have a problem. Menopause is not good.
I would just eat a whole bunch of salty bacon. Only salt and sugar tasted good.
I would just eat a whole bunch of salty bacon. Only salt and sugar tasted good.
When I had Covid, nothing tasted good.
The only veg i like is carrots and potatoes which is a no go...very hard to stay away from potatoes for me
Yes it’s tough! Have you ever tried bridging by eating something that replaces the potatoes and carrots? Sometimes you can find a lower sugar alternative to bridge to and then eventually wean yourself off of that food as well. Just a suggestion.
@@teresamealythw I'm Irish we grew up on spuds and a loaf of bread on dinner table we hadn't much 40 odd yrs ago there was nothing wrong with it.. are they poisoning our food
@@Jovonne73It is true that a lot of our foods today are not the same as they were just a few decades ago. Many have been modified to make them hyper palatable. This is accomplished by adding certain ratios of sweet, salty and fatty ingredients. Also many fruits are now engineered to be much sweeter and so contain a higher fructose content. The bottom line is that we should all monitor our metabolic health by measuring things like our homa IR, fasting glucose and insulin, certain lipid markers, GKI, body composition analysis and more. This way we can now for sure if our food choices are healing or damaging us.
@teresamealythw I'm seeing a dietician for T2 diabetes basically she's saying I can't eat nothing..I'm just so confused about the situation of my health at the moment.. 1 person is saying 1 thing another is saying another thing.. every second person has cancer or is having stroke or heart attack it would make you wonder about the foods today 🤔
Is that white onion on the table a regular onion?
Teresa can a vitamin D level be too high? And cause problems? I take D3 and K2 it was high just asking for entertainment purposes.😂😂
Hi ! Good question. We were actually discussing this very question with Dr. Eric Berg at the LowCarb San Diego conference. It doesn’t appear that there’s any conclusive evidence to show that Vitamin D toxicity is really a thing. The school of thought is that it’s actually a Vitamin K deficiency that causes the toxicity. In order to prevent this you need to take the K&D together. I personally monitor D levels in my patients and like a level between 60 & 80. That gets other providers excited but I’ve never had a patient with an issue at test level. I also always put my patients who take D on K as well.
@@teresamealythw Thank you it's working well I was always on the low side.
I wish I knew about those drops when I had Covid in January 2021. I lost my taste and smell for a little over three months. The only other symptom my head was a stuffy nose. Was taking the zinc and vitamin D3, but probably not the right amount. By the way, not only are you amusing but you’re very informative. I appreciate you both.
Yes the iodine really seems to help. The loss of taste and smell is so frustrating! We usually take about 20,000 IU’s of D per day when sick along with Vitamin K2. For the zinc we take between 60 and ninety mg per day. We are so glad you think we are entertaining!
Sorry you were sick!!! Glad your bouncing back!
Thank you! Yes what really got me this time was the fatigue. I’m finally getting my energy back. Hope to hit some sprints this weekend 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
I just heard on a podcast this week around 50% of the books in medical school are outdated information. I have no idea if that is true but its kinda scary even if its a little bit true.
Yes it’s crazy! It’s our understanding that it takes around 20 years for clinical research and information to trickle down to medical and nursing schools.
How did you know that you had cvd? Are the tests reliable?
Unfortunately the tests are not reliable. We have never tested before but Mark lost his smell and taste so we are 99% sure.
